He has been to a couple of groomers in his lifetime and this is the first place he is actually not pulling at me to get out the door before his grooming has even started. So I know he is well taken care of and he always looks great! He's old, over weight and I know not the easiest to handle but Holy Shitzu has been a perfect fit!

His haircut was perfect and exactly what we asked for. Michelle worked very fast; he was ready in about 1.5 hours. She also gave us a 15 minute heads up, so we were able to wrap up our grocery shopping and get there as soon as he was done. It's definitely worth the trip to Passionate Paws!

City Dogs Grooming
1225 Roeder Ave Unit 106, BellinghamMy little chihuahua, Andes, is absolutely INTOLERANT of nail trimming. I finally had to take him to our vet where they anesthetize him. That’s before/ during/ and after meds, one whole day affair, $160, and much worry about this path. Not to mention how hard it is on Andes. Then I talked with
the owner at City Dogs who wanted to try her way, assuring me of no-trauma. Omgosh! She welcomed him so patiently and with so much tenderness and 10 minutes later Andes had a perfect “petacure”! They emerged with my dog snuggling in her arms, and she wanting to hold his adorable self just a bit longer. No drugs, no trauma, no worries, and new friends. And, are you ready? 20 bucks. That's right. Andes still doesn’t love getting his nails done but I think he loves LeeAnn, so he is allowing it… with her. Oh, and Hannah is allowed to assist. I am so deeply grateful! TY, TY, TY to LeeAnn and Hanna at City Dogs. I’ll never take him anywhere else.

Village Veterinary Hospital: Lucas Cindy DVM
236 36th St, BellinghamI had to bring in our cat to be put down and Village Veterinary Hospital was wonderful in a bad situation. I appreciated that they had a protocol for bringing the owners and their pet into the clinic that minimized contact with other people. The veterinary and the vet tech, were compassionate and patient while explaining the process. I was planning on using a local pet cremation business and they had the required paperwork for that business so that our cat could be picked up and I did not have to go to that business to make arrangements. I appreciate the efficiency that Village Veterinary Hospital was able to provide in providing the needed care to our cat, as well as me.

3413 Mt Baker Hwy, BellinghamCame in here over a year ago and I wasn't the nicest to the doctor. Fast forward and year later and I came in to the same doctor with an extreme emergency with my German shepherd. They took care of him right away. Unfortunately my dog passed away during surgery and they were very helpful and very supportive. Northshore Veterinary Hospital
1486 Electric Ave, BellinghamI would give more stars if I could. When we needed a travel health certificate Dr. Lee and her team got us in on short notice, and worked hard to make sure that we had all of the documents needed. They coordinated with USDA to make sure all of the documents would be accepted. They were proactive in identifying and solving potential slowdowns as well as proactively researching issues related to our dog's vaccinations. They thought through the problem with us an found solutions that worked. Through all of it they were patient, good natured, and professional.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Animal Emergency Care
4176 Meridian St, BellinghamI am very grateful for my experience today with AEC, although it ended up being a very sad day for our family the way the staff handled everything from initial phone call to facilitating my pets remains will forever be appreciated by us.
Everyone was incredibly kind and patient to my cat and myself, and the vet was very clear with her communication, gave me a myriad of options to pick from, and the pricing was given for every possibility. I really appreciate her feedback when I decided on euthanasia, every pet parent has that little "what if??" in the back of their mind. It helped a lot to have validation I was making the most compassionate and logical choice even though it felt awful.
Everyone was kind and respectful during my final moments with my cat, allowing me to lead the pace of when things happened.
In the blur of overwhelm/trauma/grief, I made a choice in how to handle her remains in a way that didn't sit right with me hours later, and I called the clinic to see if it was too late to change my mind and bring her home for burial. The receptionist was so sweet and understanding, and was able to facilitate that change of plans. They had my kitty tucked away in a box for safe carrying, and I really appreciate that I am still able to have the final visual of my sleeping kitty in my mind. I was afraid my choice had the potential to be traumatizing, so THANK YOU so much for being mindful of that!
All in all, like I said for a sad day I couldn't have asked things to go smoother and I am very grateful to the morning staff today for all of their empathy and support. You have a very, very special, very difficult job so thank you for doing what you do, you make a difference for patients like me!

Puget Hound
3710 Williamson Way, BellinghamOur lab Bode has been going to Puget Hound since March and so far he's loving it! It was unnerving sending my fur-baby off to daycare for the first time, but the staff at Puget Hound have been very responsive to any questions or concerns that come up. I would like to give a special thanks to Abby & Riley. Abby did our initial questionnaire for his temperament test and was super reassuring throughout the process (this helped me feel like he was in good hands!) Upon drop off/pick up, Riley always has a smile on her face and (today specifically) was prompt in relaying Bode's first photos and report with me - I'm so grateful. Big thanks to all the staff at Puget Hound!

Stemma Brewing Company
2039 Moore St, BellinghamOpen tap room with three food trucks on site. This brewery came recommended from a couple previous stops. The covered patio was pretty full, a good sign. Parking was a little sparse for spaces. I forgot to ask our beertender who the cut out was of, see pics. I missed it when we arrived but as we left we noticed a lounge-ish area in the corner with comfortable chairs and a couch. I liked how open it was, perfect weather for it. I like color, so I liked the lime green walls. I didn't peruse it but noticed they had a merch area. All the tables were standard height, thanks. Thanks Stemma for the delicious beer in a comfortable tap room, cheers.

COF&
1209 Cornwall Ave, BellinghamCute Colombian coffeehouse in downtown Bellingham. There is plenty of indoor seating as well as some seating outdoors, a bar area in the back, and a stage where it looks like they host events and musicians.
They have pastries, a light menu, and various coffee and tea choices. They also have alternative milks, for those that don’t do dairy.
We got an iced latte, iced chai, and chicken empanadas. They were so good, there was no pictures for evidence - and my daughter wished we got more empanadas… ?
Recommend visiting this cafe! (They are located across the street from the Hotel Leopold, and nearby several cute home and gift shops: Greenhouse and Ideal gifts. I recommend visiting those places too!)

Otherlands Beer
2121 Humboldt St, BellinghamArrived in town Friday night for a weeklong Bellingham Beercation. Time of open determined Otherlands would be our first stop. We arrived to a near full cute, small patio. I appreciated their cute little directional sign by the curb, directing all the nearby breweries in every direction. We continued inside to the brewery and a few tables.... all sorts of Oktoberfest decorations. Our server was friendly Maddy who let us know they offered scooner pours if we didn't want a full pint; we did not as we had ground to cover and the day was a marathon not a sprint, also meant opting for lower ABV beers. Lovely touch of pretty fresh flowers on the table. I asked Maddy if she had recommendations for nearby breweries and beers at them? She seemed hesitant to offer up any info, totally fine as we intended to check them all out. Four people soon sat at the table next to us so I asked them if they had any thoughts on the brewery scene? They were a friendly load of help that helped us dictate some next stops! I opted for an Excessive Celebration 5.8% festbier, it was delicious. Otherlands is a fun and delicious beer stop, don't skip it. Our first stop of the day so we weren't hungry yet so no rating or thoughts on the menu.

Dumpling Girls
2620 Northwest Ave, BellinghamI loved this place: got the pot stickers, pork buns, beef noodle soup and wonton soup and they were all home runs. I love the ambiance of where the food truck is: a nice picnic area with other trucks and a beer garden which made a truly fun and eclectic experience. The lady who helped was very friendly and gave good advice on what to eat because we were suffering from paralysis by analysis; even though we were stuffed we had to get the donuts and they were awesome. I'm getting hungry again writing this review. I absolutely recommend this truck: they're just awesome!

El Sueñito Brewing Company
1926 Humboldt St, BellinghamThis was our second brewery stop when getting to Bellingham....just down the road from our first stop The Otherlands. The brewery looks very inviting from the street... large patio w strung papel picados and an open garage door to the brewery and tap room. As we perused the tap list we watched several plates of delicious looking food come out for orders! The sweet May helped us w our beers selections; I opted for a Conejo Azteca and for my mom Alebrijes. As I glanced around... looking at the merch above the tap window I spotted a Support Queer Beer shirt which prompted me to confirm that this beer was? I left w the rad shirt!! El Suenito is queer owned and brewed! We ended up stopping here again on our last day as well as the brewery as in our top three in Bellingham. The beer was good, the setting was fantasric and had easy free street parking and the staff was great. Thanks El Suenito, cheers!

Wander Brewing
1807 Dean Ave, BellinghamNice brewery with summer deck to enjoy a beer and different snack options
It's hidden at the backside of a warehouse, but it's perfect because it has enough parking space and room for a summer deck.
There were two food trucks, BBQ and smashed burgers, both options were really good, they go very well with the many beer options available.
We visited them on a Sunday, so there weren't a lot of people, so we chose our table and took our time deciding what to eat.
Highly recommend it if you want to hang out with friends or as a date option.

2172 Division St, BellinghamI came in a few months ago while going through some not-great stuff to search for an emotional support kitty, and I met my amazing best friend Erik (who used to be called Captain Whitebeard)! This guy sleeps in my arms every night, is obsessed with drinking his water, and seems to enjoy heavy metal music. Many thanks to Ben and everyone else who helped out in the adoption process, as a first-time adopter it was a bit intimidating to take in a cat with medical complications but y'all really helped make his medical needs less scary and I am happy to report that he is currently in perfect health. If anyone else is feeling like they want/need the companionship of a pet, I would HIGHLY recommend adopting from a shelter, I swear to god these guys are infinitely more affectionate and kind.
