“Great value for the money. Very quiet, and close enough to downtown Bellingham. The owners were amazing, super nice, and, as someone already mentioned, so attentive. Will definitely be back.”

“One of the better hotels to which I’ve been. Even better than some of the more expensive hotels in downtown Vancouver at which I’ve stayed. There is a complimentary drink and snack for all guests. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well thought out. Also very clean, and everything was in good working order. There was even a drying rack mounted over the heater/ air con that’s perfect for wet towels and swimsuits. The spa is very good. Hot tub, steam room, and sauna were all in good working condition and very clean. There are plenty of clean towels available around the pool. It should be noted that the pool is rather small. It’s probably only good for adults and taller kids who want to wade (3-4 ft depth), but definitely too small for doing laps. The hotel is directly across from Bellis Fair, so we were able to walk over with no problem and avoid the Christmas parking lot jams.Overall, the property seems very well maintained. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.”

“This place is dated yet nostalgic historically. Is located downtown Bellingham close to everything you need. Did not stay in the rooms but the lower level shows room for improvement and upgrades.Walkability: Great downtown site.Food & drinks: Good apps and drinks.”

“We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. My husband and I were travelling for personal business around a death in our family. Their hotel is welcoming, clean, and was the perfect place to rest during a difficult journey. The room has a nice sitting area, a work station and separate powder room and shower room which is especially convenient. It feels updated and well kept throughout. We enjoyed food and drinks at the bar in the lobby where the seating was comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing. We were happily amazed with the quality of the food! Good portions, well presented and delicious. The staff were attentive and we felt well cared for.We had one item we did not care for during our stay and when we mentioned it, the manager very quickly fixed it for us. Classy and professional. We couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!Five stars.”

“Bathroom smells like old mold. Like it's been wet for long time. It was clean but the smell was horrible an the heAt didn't work.. I had covered this room for friend would needed shelter for thd night. . But I ve worked in hours keeping management for many years. They head house keeping does a good Job. However room impersonation should be done at the end of shift before housekeeper leave. So the company issues room has been properly closed. Because I was upset with management for a issue with a room I had rented sometime back.I rented a room only to realize the sheets were just remade after the previous. guest left . He I coming along fold back sheets to check because just do that every time now. . The sheets were not charged but the bed had been remade with sane sheet. Pretty nasty. Bathroom sink had hair from someone shaving an housekeeper not cleaning it correctly. It smelled like mold then. How head house keeper came brought me so clean ones . I put then on it . I cleaned sink etc. Here we're I was a bit upset. I had rented a dirty room. However office staff are great. Not I cleaned the dirty room. I had never offered a another room when I had complaint about the unpleasant smelling aura in the room.So the following day I to rent a room for the night. I was so upset when management told me I couldn't get a Renr for a 30 period because of smell in the room. I rented. .so I ask to speak to the owner of manager. I was told they were not they so I ask for The head house keeper. Told shed out as well . So I requested a call back neved got one. I called back to speak to head house keeper are managers. Because I had file a complaint at from dest because I rented a dirty room an it had a bad smell of mildew. I think there was a huge misunderstanding between room attendant an front desk. Front desk was told smells like they smoked. Dope in there. That was the reason they said they wouldn't rent me again for 30 days in front of other guests. I was embarrassed. I explained please leave management or owner my phone number an email as I had rented this room dirtyI put clean sheets on the beds . The head housekeeper came in the room at my request to photo an document the odor. Which she did even called to front desk explained in failed what I had reported. Was indeed correct.howeverThey was a huge misunderstanding of an data of issues not entered correctly other thsn that all was.great..”

“For 60 dollars more, you can escape the low quality bed bug motels nearby. Absolutely worth it. Walking inside, it smells and looks great. Customer service was on point the whole stay. The rooms are kept clean, but there was one stray hair on the bathroom door and a few things looked aged, but that was all minor to me.”

“So far, so good ?Decent breakfast for the travelers, price may be gig sawed or matched, depending on who you speak to. Definitely better than Days or 6 or all the other "ho-motels" in this growing city ?. To be honest, fair & w/out embellishment OR diminishment (while still acknowledging that you're reading my review, as we see it, that is, through my partner & my eyes ?) the following may or may not apply... : Guesthouse Inn sits along a fine location in the "Green Eggs of Bellingham". Whether you are a loner or enjoy having a rouge group of guests in your room (in other words, keep it realistic & don't disrespect the other patrons or the Guesthouse staff) then this is the place to land your head at night when you are not at home, in the middle of moving or traveling. Perfectly situated across from a mini-mall that includes a Fred Meyers. Across the street kiddy corner exists another mini-mall complete with a Whole Foods; a spectrum for the extra dollar ? whilst &/or craving to be spent on the finer things (to be great fully ingested, felt & shared back in your room at the Guesthouse Inn). Enjoy your stay!John SchutteNoteworthy details: Noteworthy details were described in our initial review. Thanks for considering our opinions & views. We strive for sharable honesty in a world ? ripe with bologna gossip sandwiches.”

“This was our second stay at bay city motor inn. They have a policy on visitors after a specified time and outer doors being locked . I appreciate the added security and that it is not noisy when we need to sleep. The hotel and our room was very clean. They require a 100 dollar damage deposit but they put that money back into my account the very next day. It's a bargain and we plan on staying there anytime we visit Bellingham, Washington.”

“Beautiful hotel in a pretty location. Very nice room with a wet bar set up. Clean and well appointed with everything we needed…not just the bare minimum of towels, washcloths and cups. Wonderful breakfast with an attendant always there replenishing coffee, juice, milk, eggs, sausage etc. Stayed at several hotels across the US northwest in the last week and this was by far the best and very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay againRooms: Very nice and clean roomFood & drinks: Great hot breakfast with a large variety of items”
