“I am updating my review to the Lakemont UPS store after communicating with the store owner Maria on the details of my experience and feedbacks. She is a great small business owner with empathy, ownership, and customer obsession and willing to listen to customers. I would say that my not very pleasant experience turned out to have a happy ending as I think we have a trustworthy UPS store owner to support our neighborhood. Appreciate it.==== The following is my original one-star review===I cannot believe about the horrible experience on my packages during this holiday season at Lakemont UPS shop. I had 2 critical identification document shipped to me on Next day Air and I requested them to be delivered to the Lakemont store for pick-up because I can’t risk the packages to be left at front door. They were shown delivered on 12/26 1:19pm on the tracking so I went to pick them up. A store assistant named Taylor checked the computer and said “we don’t have them, they were not delivered, you need to call the 800 numbers, we are just store not UPS, we don’t know anything”. I asked if he could just check in the back to see just in case. He showed no sign of helping but arrogance and yelling. I was lucky to talk to the UPS driver who delivered my packages right outside the store. He was so nice and helped me go to the store and ask again. Guess what? They found my packages. Even with the fact, Taylor didn’t show any apology of mishandling my packages and providing wrong information. In the meanwhile, I want to thank Eddie who is really helpful and found my packages at the end, also to the UPS driver who stepped for me and ask/check the store again.”

“I’ve used this business on two occasions for shipping. In both cases, we brought art and a mishmash of unpacked items in to ship. These guys were awesome! They were expedient, packed everything well and our items arrived in perfect shape. I highly recommend them!”

“Best experience for a shipment gone wrong. I recently had a monitor and Xbox shipped to CA. Sadly the monitor was damaged upon arrival. The team at this location was fantastic. Kind, and professional, and every team member that I was in contact with made this experience so seamless and took care of the claim in a speedy manner. Massive thanks for the amazing customer service.”

“The husband-wife duo was supremely helpful in their advice and efficiency in getting my important pkg to its destination across the country. They made at least four suggestions that I followed..........and I've shipped hundreds of pkgs before. They went out of their way to creatively make sure my pkg was safely packed and didn't even charge me for the little but important extra that they did. I wasn't EVER going to use this business because of their name, but I needed DHL and they were the only ones. It turns out that DHL in the U.S. can only be international (undoubtedly due to powerful lobbying from FedEx and UPS). I was also totally screwed over by another, nearby, small mailing business last year and was also not going use another small mailing business, but I will definitely use this one again......despite their awful name! (Started and named by a British guy, BTW, who didn't understand its origin!)”

“Small and sometimes busy, but an efficient store nonetheless with friendly and extremely helpful staff. I had returned some equipment to my previous employer which they claimed not to have received. The store manager, Isaac helped me track down my proof of shipment and was very responsive to my urgent email request for help.”

“4-5 people line, only about 2 min wait. Single sales person was very efficient and courteous.Very different from the UPS store on 132nd Ave and 68th St - that one is the WORST UPS store in history.”

“I don't understand the complaints (and ratings) here about bad service. This is a busy store, and the "old asian" owner tries his best to accommodate everyone. I have seen (many times) the staff simply trying their best to speed things up while still being courteous. This is a UPS store, not a restaurant- it's more important to get things moving then chit chat about your day or provide the best customer experience- they are nice folks, but their attention is (rightly) focused on shipping stuff accurately. My favorite UPS location, in and out :)”
