Eagle Harbor Winery
8897 Three Tree Ln NE, Bainbridge IslandNice Little Stop. We biked up to this winery, up several hills - but it was worth it. They have a nice tasting room and a tented patio. Our host walked us through a tasting. Very good wine. The Syrah was our favorite. We had the smoked salmon spread as a snack. A good time. Visited 9/2024.

HI LIFE
220 Olympic Dr SE, Bainbridge IslandWhen I visited Hi Life recently, my mom and I shared the Shokado box with steamed rice. It was a fabulous sampling of 8 different poke types. That day there were 3 exceptional tuna, 3 salmon, 1 scallop, 1 octopus, plenty of seaweed salad, tobiko, and Wakame seaweed. My favorite was the truffle aioli salmon poke! My meal at Hi Life was my absolute favorite meal of my entire 5 day trip to Seattle/Bainbridge Island. It was the best way to enjoy the extremely fresh fish and the beautiful views on Bainbridge Island. Added bonus it was just steps from the Ferry dock! When I return to Seattle I will definitely visit Hi Life again.

Bainbridge Vineyards
8989 NE Day Rd, Bainbridge IslandQuaint little winery with beautiful views! Visited with some close friends and was pleasantly surprised at the wine scene out here. Glad we got to visit Bainbridge while out in Seattle :) We settled in for a wine tasting-- only around $20/person for 4 wines. I also opted for cheese/crackers ($10~). The setup was very DIY-- a quad of carafes to self-serve along with a box of crackers and a pack of goat cheese LOL. Plates, napkins, water, and silverware were available near the front patio. Staff were sweet and accommodating. Our table was flanked by heaters, keeping the cold at bay. Felt so cozy sipping with friends under their pavilion, taking in the brisk autumn air. Their whites were so delicious & sweet! I'm not a dry/buttery wine type of gal-- I like it as juice-adjacent as possible. These were up my alley for sure. LOVE that the grapes are all grown locally. While far from downtown, the vineyard is easy to access with their local bus system, Pingo.

Blackbird Bakery
210 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge IslandOrange Roll with cranberry sauce inside was divine. So soft and perfect for sweet tooths. Cappuccino was unfortunately bitter. No issues with service. There's a few spots for seating so you're more likely to order to-go.

Bainbridge Apothecary and Tea Shop
450 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge IslandI visit Seattle frequently and have been to Bainbridge Island before, but a friend and I were bringing my mother out to Bainbridge Island for her first ever visit (as part of a larger vacation trip). In researching for new and interesting things to do around the island, I discovered this lovely tea shop and their afternoon tea offerings. I'll admit that I wasn't sure if my friend and mother would be into it (I was thinking maybe it would be too corny for them) - but we all ended up LOVING the experience, so much so that my friend came back a couple weeks later with his own mother. The shop itself offers a wonderful array of loose leaf teas and other items like bath & body gift sets, candles, gems, incense, tarot cards, and so on. I'm not into tarot or anything, but I kinda regret not picking up the package of "Wise Dog Tarot" cards just for the novelty of having them. That said, I *did* pick up multiple loose leaf teas from their selection, as well as a couple other gifts. As for the afternoon tea itself, it could not have been more delightful. The cottage where they offer most of their afternoon teas is sweetly decorated - and you can pick out your own tea cup/dish set, try on (surprisingly sturdy) tiaras (if that's your thing), sample a couple teas after reading their thorough menu of loose leaf teas that can be brewed (including those that can tend to various health priorities), all while you also get to enjoy a variety of scones (with jam and clotted cream), sorbet, and lovingly presented finger sandwiches, soup, and desserts on a classic, tea-time curate. While the price may seem a bit much at first, you're not just paying for the food and tea, but you're receiving an experience... and while I had my doubts initially, I can now say without any doubt that the thoughtfulness and service-mindedness that are put into the afternoon tea experience are worthy of the price tag. Also, myself, my friend, and my mother all agreed that we were surprisingly full by the end of our tea time! An exceptional experience all around and I would recommend the afternoon tea to anyone and everyone. :-)

Eleven Winery
7671 NE Day Rd W, Bainbridge IslandMy partner and I stopped to Eleven to do a little flight tasting for my birthday and what a treat it was! The spot is super cute, there was live music and everyone was enjoying themselves under the branches of some big evergreens. The service was wonderful, both of the folks working were very knowledgeable about the wines and soooo so friendly. If you are a rosé lover, do NOT miss theirs! I ended up buying a bottle, it's super lovely and the prices were all incredibly reasonable.

Amelia Wynn Winery Bistro
390 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge IslandWe had a delicious meal from start to finish, everything we ordered was fresh, seasonal and expertly crafted. Chef Noel is certainly flexing her creativity and technique! Especially appreciated the number of plant based options, that said the crazy fresh ling cod in green curry and the roasted duck were perfection. Wine pairings were on point and the service welcoming and gracious.

Emmy's Vege House
100 Winslow Way W, Bainbridge IslandWe came here for lunch on a Sunday day trip to Bainbridge Island. Emmy's had a variety of vegan noodles or rice dishes or salads to choose from, and the owner was super nice and patient in explaining the different ingredients that went into each dish. I'm not a huge fan of rice nor vegan meat, so the owner recommended me to get the ginger tofu with extra vegetables instead of rice. It turned out to be the perfect meal that I needed at that moment - the ginger sauce went well with the lightly sauteed broccoli and cabbage, and the tofu was slightly crispy and delicious.

West Sound Wildlife Shelter
7501 NE Dolphin Dr, Bainbridge IslandI love this place, we've had to bring a few roosters and they make it so easy, had to bring to 2 more, it's now $10 a bird, which I'm happy to do because I think it's a good cause. Lisa was the one who greeted me on site today and I was pretty frustrated about having to give them up, she was super sweet and defensive for us and helped me understand our Ag codes and rights. I felt relief & it was just nice to be understood. Thanks for your help!!!
