THIS LOCATION DOES NOT EXIST. Went in and the pep boys employees told me the pick up counter was gone, despite the hertz website letting me book here. Now I’ve arrived and scrambling to drive 40 mins to another hertz, to maybe get a car I booked months ago.

Awful service. After booking online I got an Uber to this ghetto location where I was yelled across the store in front of 4 customers that there were no more cars and “anyone that didn’t book last night wasn’t getting one “! The guy proceeded to complain that he was alone working and had no cars. No one at Hertz 800 number took ownership or responsibility. Can’t trust Hertz.

Had the hardest time getting a car and was confirmed on a Tuesday and then stranded out of town b/c they canceled the morning I was picking up. Had to go through my insurance to make them give me a car the day I was promised. Worst experience out of town yet

Stranded- I made a same day reservation for a vehicle as my car broke down and I needed to get to work while it was being repaired. When I arrived at the Hertz location in Woodbridge at my reservation time slot, no one was there. I was told by a waiting customer that she was told they were out picking up a vehicle and would be back soon. When the customer service reps returned, They completed the transaction with the customer ahead of me. When I told them that I had a reservation, the told me that they were out of vehicles because the people who were supposed to drop off extended their rental and there was nothing they could do. So basically I was stranded with no vehicle and no way to get to work as by this time it was close to 5pm. I was told "sorry". I asked so you have no vehicles to offer me? I was told "no we do not". Then the people behind me were an hour late to pick up their vehicle, they stepped up to the desk and were handed keys to a rental car? What? I thought they had no more rental cars?? Anyway this was very poor service , I was stranded without a car and no alternative solutions were given to me. Horrible. I have never had such a negative experience. Hertz Woodbridge....definitely NO.

I live this location. It’s the customer service. I’ve rented from this location for a few years and refuse to go anywhere’s else even if the prices are lower, it’s because you can’t pay for the hospitality that comes with this location. This is by far the best car rental location in Woodbridge VA.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Over charged without authorization and STILL have no answer as to why! I rented a van from this location and was quoted $531 for a 3 day one way cargo van rental. I returned the van a day early, so expected the bill to come in Lower but ended up getting charged over $600! The van was $70 a day and being I returned a day earlier I should have gotten back some of the $531 I authorized! I've literally been calling this location for 11 days now I started on Sept 6 and its now Sept 17, trying to get an answer, and I get is placed on hold, promises I'll get a call back and NOT ONE PERSON in this office has followed through!

Reserved a car which they didn’t have available for us when we came to pick it up. We spoke with Ryan Spisak. We have the confirmation available, and we’re able to prove it but they said they have no car available for us. They said they didn’t have our information which we could see on the screen, which was unnecessary. They had other cars for other parties but refused to admit they didn’t follow through with our reservation. Frustrating and terrible customer service… we need a car.

Ryan Spisak, the branch manager, received our confirmation number, contact information, and insurance information. He told us that he tried to call us to talk to us about our rental, but we did not receive any email or call from the company. Mr. Spisak lied to us and did not get us a car even though we had everything proving that we rented the vehicle a week prior to pickup. Horrible experience.

I knew when making the reservation that there was a shortage of larger (6-seater) SUVs; however, I was told to make reservations at more than one rental care company. I made a reservation at Hertz in Woodbridge because it was the closest to me (closer than the two other rental care companies at National Airport). My reservation was for convenience. The two locations at the airport were still a bit pricey, but a little over $100 cheaper.Check in was fine; however, when I was OK'd to get in the vehicle to leave, I immediately noticed that it was VISIBLY dirty. Stains present as if a previous renter wasted juice and/or soda or some sugary beverage and it hadn't been cleaned out. Sticky surfaces, etc. We are in the middle of a pandemic. I thought car rental companies were supposed to be deep cleaning and sanitizing vehicles? I asked for the car to be recleaned. The manager seemed a bit annoyed, but the female employee understood and had it recleaned and brought back to me smelling like bleach (better than nothing).I left after and went home to get my Lysol wipes and Lysol spray to MAKE SURE it was cleaned correctly and any surface that me or my family would touch was cleaned with disinfectant. I shouldn't have had to do that, but I did as it's better to error on the side of caution and safety. Unfortunately the car REEKED of cigarette smoke so I had to stop by Target to get air freshener for the car (chose the vent clips) and Febreze as the smell was nauseating.As if this wasn't frustrating enough, when I turned the engine off to exit the car I received a message that it needed to be serviced: Oil Change in 300 miles. WHAT? I rented the car to drive from VA to Florida so one way was about 800 miles! I called the manager and he was now noticeably annoyed and when I shared what the message was giving me, he snarked that it had been serviced and they most likely forgot to reset it. I cannot confirm that it had been serviced, but what a horrible message to get when you're about to embark on a road trip. However, by this time, I had no other options as I didn't pick up cars from one of the other two rental car places during the times I had reserved cars.I had the car for over a week and by day 7 or 8, the cigarette smoke had dissipated thanks to the vent clips and Febreze. The car continued to ding at me every time I turned the engine off telling me that it was overdue for a service/oil change. II serioualy prayed up and down the highway that it did not konk out on me and leave us stranded. According to the manual in the glove compartment it was a 2019 but with 55K+ miles on it, it drove like a 2010 or so. I was nervous the entire time.I did, however, vacuum it out and wipe it down with Lysol wipes prior to returning it just in case it isn't cleaned the way it should be--my good deed for the next renter.(I initially submitted this review to Hertz after receiving an email to review my experience and upon completing that review, I learned that there should have been a yellow sticker on the door confirming the car had been cleaned, PRIOR TO them giving me the key! The car definitely had not be cleaned. That is horrible and dangerous considering we are in the middle of a pandemic. Glad I went back through and cleaned it with Lysol wipes and disinfectant prior to putting my family in it!!)

Extremely unsatisfied with the service we received today. We booked an SUV to pick up this morning at 8:00am, and the branch manager, Ryan Spisak, failed to reserve us the car. He then proceeded to lie by informing us that he called us earlier this week (we never received a call from them). We are very unhappy and extremely unsatisfied with our visit, and will never be returning to this location.
