“This antique-retro-collectible-game-toy store is awesome! There's something for everyone!The video game section is mostly like any other retro/used game store around, but they have some unique things like their collection of PC games dating back to floppy disks. You'll find everything from Atari to PS5 here.The antique mall sections is a lot of fun. So many cool things ranging from glassware and furniture to antique phones and old books. There's some unique areas including the morbid curiosities type room. MUST SEE!The toys and collectibles sections include western cartoons and comics like the Ninja Turtles and Marvel heroes and lots of Anime and manga related merchandise and media. VHS tapes, action figures, LEGO, classic and mid-century toys horror movie memorabilia.... Everything you've never loved under one roof.There's so much more to this building that I couldn't possibly mention it all.This place is worth a visit for tourists and locals alike!”

“Huge place!! Plan to stay awhile. So much to look at. I thought many of the sections had high prices based on my years of antiquing staff helpful. Some areas tighter to move around than others. There is an upstairs! They had live music outside which was fun and unexpected. Would definitely go again.”

“I love Second & Charles, but I wish they’d learn how to properly price items. It’s appalling to see used books priced higher than if you were to purchase brand new from elsewhere, or when you remove the Second & Charles price sticker, it’s covering another tag from a different store that sold it for less. If you’re going to raise the price, at the very least, remove the price tag from the previous seller. There’s no way a tag of $12.95 should be covering a book previously sold for $4.95. I’ve had 2nd and Charles stickers for $9.95 covering $1 stickers. There’s also no reason a book marked as used should cost more than a brand new book from Target, Walmart, or even Barnes and Noble. That’s absurd. If I can find that same book at Barnes and Noble for less, you KNOW your used prices are too high. I’m sure that’s a system thing and not necessarily the employees, so I can’t place fault on the workers or this particular location, hence the five star rating still.

The wall decor, funkos, shirts and socks, mugs, and other toys and knickknacks from here are amazing. The funko prices can be a bit crazy at times as well though. I’ve sat in there and ordered the same funkos brand new online for less than they were selling used ones, or had just purchased the exact funko at Target or elsewhere, seen it here and decided to compare prices to find that 2nd & Charles was selling the used funko for double, triple, or more the price of it brand new, so definitely check prices, but the variety is amazing, especially when you get lucky and find rare ones.

The horror section has definitely been improving steadily so I LOVE that. They even set up a new display and area for it. I wish it was larger and more varied other than Darcy Coates and Stephen King, but again, they can only stock what folks trade in or what’s super popular at the moment.

The manga section is awesome. I wish it were bigger, but it’s a smaller location, so they fit what they could in there, and tbh, for the size of the store, the manga section is pretty huge. You’ll often have some amazing finds in there, as well as the graphic novels area.

The children’s books are amazing, and they have a ton of Minecraft and Pokémon books, which my kids love. There’s also quite the selection of activity books as well.

The manager, I believe he is, Angelou or something, is amazingly helpful. He’s kind, attentive, and has amazing customer service. He often walks through the store and checks on customers and offers to grab a cart for you if he sees your hands are full. He’s just overall a good vibe. This location is always clean and well organized. It’s definitely worth a visit.”

I recently visited the Ollie’s on Laskin Road, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. The merchandise selection left me in awe—there’s truly something for everyone. Having relocated from DC a few years ago, I’ve frequented stores like Roses, but Ollie’s is in a league of its own. In fact, the Roses here far exceed those in the DMV area, but I digress.

What made this trip stand out was the exceptional customer service provided by Ms. Danaya (Naya) and Ms. Sharon. Despite shopping at Ollie’s for over six months, I didn’t realize I could check my email or the app for additional discounts until Ms. Naya kindly informed me. Her knowledge and professionalism were refreshing. She patiently helped me download the app, ensuring I received the maximum savings possible.

Ms. Sharon also added to the experience by showing me how to spot emails with discounts and upcoming events. The time these ladies took to guide me through the process endeared me not only to Ollie’s but to their entire team. Their service went beyond what I expected—they’re not just sales associates, they’re ambassadors for the brand.

In summary, Ms. Naya and Ms. Sharon are true assets to Ollie’s, and their dedication to customer service is beyond reproach.

“I've recently become a mom and Sprout is a wonderland. Not only do they have some of the cutest baby and toddler clothing they also do consignment and you can find THE cutest little things!

I found several PJs and a sleep blanket for my little love and can't wait until she's old enough for more of the fashionable items as well as some of the wonderful toys I saw inside.

“I loved it. Despite the odds, B&N are still in business. We have spent many happy hours here over the decades, and it's still a great place to hang out with a book or periodical and read. They also have a Starbucks on premises.. The store is a bit smaller than it's heyday, but the cuts were made by reducing the toy and puzzle section. The book sections are about the same. Highly recommended.”
