Car received on time. Desk admin was quick, confusing and less than friendly. Too many idle employees sitting about. Sketchy people hanging around outside in cars, blocking entrance and generally doing little. Car I received was very dirty, tires need replacement. Otherwise in and out in ten minutes. Fix the above and this would be an outstanding business.

The worst experience ever! Budget ruined my Christmas. They left my 82-year-old mother and me stranded on the side of the road for 6-plus hours with a rental van that had broken down. I finally got an agent who told me to call 911 and abandon the vehicle. I rented on 12/22 and 3 months later I am still receiving harassing calls from them because their "roadside assistance" can't locate their vehicle. Last night, I received a call at 2:46 am. When I call customer service I wait on the phone for 45 minutes to get hung up on by the first agent that gets my case. My father died last June and all we wanted was to take my mom on a vacation for Christmas to get her mind off of things but instead, she sat on the side of a cold highway for hours with nothing but time to think about my father. Their sister company Avis closed the case, so I do not understand why Budget is still harassing me. Budget made this the worst Christmas ever!

This place is a joke they gentlemen at the desk was polite but he failed to advise me that because I was under the age of 25 I'd be billed 27$ a day for my rental agreement. He literally took the drivers license to verify my identity with the online reservation and again failed to advise me that since I was under 25 I'd be billed 27$ a day for the entire rental duration. Had I'd been told this I wouldn't have rented it!

I had a question about an unauthorized transaction on my card. They give me corporate number and no one answers the phone. Business hours listed that they are open. This is rediculous. Called a nearby Budget and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I am done with this company! This the Budget in Virginia and I live nowhere near there!!

Customer service is nonexistent at Budget car rental in Orlando International Airport. As they were processing my reservation, I asked if I can use my on insurance that covers rental cars and was told "No" I had to pay for it. This was not true when I spoke to their "customer service" on the phone. After the employee completed my transaction I was told to wait 15 minutes they are cleaning the car. Went back to the counter after 15 minutes and the wasn't ready. Waited over an hour with no answers of when our car would be ready. I asked another employee for an update on my car and was told it would be ready soon. I responded how do you know when you didn't even ask me my name. After that an employee from Avis rental car stepped in and gave us actual customer service. If it wasn't for the Avis employee I'd still be waiting for my car. Will never use Budget car rental again!! ZERO STARS!

No matter when you go there's always a 40 min wait until you get the car, and the returning is a pain as well, they just can't corporate with the local parking lot valet, they tell you different things at the same time

My family has its first big cross country move this week. We thought it would go smooth but we didn’t receive the correct size truck for the move and it was the only truck they had so we left behind several pieces of furniture and a mower. Then just over 200 miles into the drive the check engine light popped on. We were supposed to have a straight through 12 hour drive which turned into a 2 day drive. We had to stop for the night because we feared the truck breaking down on the side of the Pennsylvania turnpike especially with the thunderstorm going on. So we spent $300 extra for a last minute hotel for the night. I inspected the vehicle closer the next day to realize the tires had hardly any tread, the break pads were worn to the point they were grinding, the transmission was slipping and so on. I spoke to budget rentals customer care who basically said there was nothing they could do about it now. But I want to make sure that people know that they need to be careful renting from this company because they certainly did not ensure this truck was safe and reliable for my family. There are other companies that take great care of the rental vehicles and want you to be comfortable and safe. I’ll never use budget again after this experience hopefully no one will

You can count on budget to let you down. Reserve a car in advance and pay for it in full just to be told I wasn't eligible to rent the car. So at last min I'm missing a family funeral and have not received a refund. Mind you this reservation was made for me by another budget after not having my reserved car the day before.

1st time using Budget. I went online Sat 2/6 to reserve a veh p-up @ 5p of Mon- 2/8 thru Wed 2/10 @ 5p. I prepaid my bal due $123.03. On Mon 2/8, I was advised that my Security seminar slated for Tues 2/9 had been canceled. I immediately called this Budget & was advised that I needed to contact their Cust Serv Dept. After two calls, I was connected to someone in another country. I immediately advised what had occurred and told there would be no refund & a $150 penalty due to pre-paying instead of just reserving a veh, thus forfeiting my $123.03. I was advised this was the policy and there was nothing to be done & then told to contact the local office. I called the local office back & they said, sorry that's our policy & it's on the website. I would encourage all to stay away from this and all Budget rent a car locations in the future. This isn't sour grapes, but just bad policy & optics. I was able to call the Hilton, explain the exact same situation, receive a full refund cvred to my card w/out issue. I will gladly use the Hilton in the future. As for Budget, I would take an UBER 1,000 miles before contacting this company again.

Rude , unprofessional , no common sense . If you wanna see a place where people hate they're jobs walk in this place so not customer friendly funny how they work with people all day tho if you want to continue having a great day avoid going here seriously the energy and vibes are sooo bad can't help but to run off on you AVOID AT ALL COST

I'm giving them 4stars because i rented a truck from there a week ago was supposed to get a 26foA 26 foot truck when i got there they said they have the truck but no key to the truck ended up wit 16 foot truck it took 4 trips instead of1 they did the right thing by giving me me 2 free days and 35 free miles

If I could give negative stars I would. I made a reservation 10 days ago for a 16' truck for a move. I received several emails verifying and reminding me of my up-coming move...Today I get a V/m and an e-mail that they don't have a 16' truck and I would have to travel quite a distance to get one. I was told someone from corporate would call me in a few hours. The people from corporate could care less that I am being inconvenienced. I'm moving in less than 2 days (about 30 hours from now) and I NEED a truck. I called U-Haul, they're hooking me up for less than Budget was going to charge me! Ha!

This company is so unprofessional and they overbook people reservations knowing that they don't have enough trucks. I booked my reservation a week ago. Yesterday when went to my designated pick up location the worker had me waiting 15 mins outside because the door was locked I called the store to see if someone would come from the back no one did so I then called budget cs and told the about that store is closed all they told me was to call the store again so I waited 15 mins in my car then I see the worker unlocking the door. Then I told the worker about my reservation and she tells me that they doesn't have my truck there and that I will have to call budget cs to get a different location. When I called Budget cs again and told them what happen they told me the the manager was going to give me a call between 15 min to 2 hours so stay by my phone so I did. Two hours passed and I called them AGAIN because I never received a call they tell me that I haven't received a call because the havent found a truck for me yet. So the submitted another claim to the manager and told me to wait 15 mins to 2 hours AGAIN. 1 hours passed and I get a email saying my reservation has been canceled. I called them once again and they tell me they canceled it because they could not find a truck for me. At that point I was pissed they had me waiting that long. I went over to UHaul and in 5mins I was in a moving truck. I will never seek Budget again.
