“Ryder Scott’s Addition-The mechanics and managers at the Scott’s Addition location went above and beyond to make a really bad situation right. We had the refrigeration unit go in our 1st truck and them hours later in the replacement truck. It was a nightmare situation on our biggest job of the year. It sucked, cost us a ton of money, time and stress but we still needed a working reefer truck. They got me a temporary reefer so I could deliver the replacement product, for spoiled food we had to throw out. I was able to get it there in time to keep our business open. The mechanics and managers at the Scott’s Addition location did not rest till they got us straight. I know the last thing they wanted was to have these vehicles break and for them to have to spend all day and night not only trying to fix the vehicles but then actually locating a new truck and the driving it to our location, an hour away. Along with helping us move a thousand pounds plus of perishable product over to the new reefer truck. They promised me they would make it right and they delivered on their promise.-In life and business no matter how prepared you may think you are bad things are always going to happen. It is how you deal with those problems that make the difference. The Scott’s Addition Ryder team are truly special people. They took a terrible situation, and did everything possible to make it right? I wish I could remember their names to mention them here in hopes that someone in their upper management could see and know how good these employees are.-In the end we were able to pull off our job in the black. “I am genuinely surprised to see this place with a less than 4/5 overall rating. The location is a bit hard to find because the Budget sign isn't on the building and it just looks like a gas station, but I have never had such good customer service from a rental company. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. We were even given a discount after realizing we booked too small of a moving truck. They upgraded us two sizes and didn't charge us for the upgrade. I highly recommend these guys.”

“Uhaul ; the first name comes to mind when time to move or when in need of storage. I’ve been a customer of Uhaul for over a year now and this isn’t the first time I’ve used the service. Currently I’m paying for storage . The box is smaller than I anticipated and am glad I gave all big items to my family. My only issue with Uhaul storage are the locks that comes with the units. The locks can be difficult ? to open most times, otherwise my stuff is safe and in good condition”

900 N Lombardy St, Richmond“I've never used UHaul before so I didn't know the process. In my head, the dolly I was renting was inside the truck and the truck was waiting for me with gas in it. None of this happened. I had to walk the dolly out (there was no demonstration on how to use it and wasn't asked if I needed one). The truck was in the back of the area and I had no idea how what I was supposed to be matching my key to. When I found the truck, the back was open for me which was nice but I had to spend 15mins trying to figure out how to unload the ramp and open and close the door. I was told it was on a 1/2 tank of gas, it was less than that (more like a quarter). When I got the truck to the loading location, I couldn't get the back door open! One of the movers (Tony and Lamar from Outside the Box. AMAZING GUYS!) had to open it for me. The move to the unloading location was great, until I had to open the door again (I got nowhere). I had to go buy a mattress and box spring (not planned), so I drove the truck so that I could load it then. When I got my bed, I couldn't open the door. The amazing sales gentleman was able to open it and he and my saleswoman quickly got the beds into the truck. Got to my new place, couldn't open it again, however my next blessing was Jose and Ian (who's job it WAS NOT to help me) helped me by opening the door and taking my beds into my apartment. When I dropped the truck off, there were three women at the drop off equipment lane and they were my next blessings. I nearly cried from exhaustion but they sympathized with everything I had gone through and made a connection with me. I'm almost done! I got home and realized my EZPass was still in the truck, so I called them. I had to call EZPass to get my correspondents number, and the woman and I matched them. I got to UHaul right before they closed and my final blessing was one of the previous women!It was a stressful day but great customer connections can make it so much better and these ladies definitely made my day better!”

4511 W Broad St, Richmond“I can't speak highly enough about my experience with this Uhaul location. First, I thought I needed the truck in the morning and forgot to change the order when my helpers weren't available until later. No problem. A kind young man called at the time I was due for pickup and helped me change my reservation for later the same day. Not only was I able to make a last minute reservation on a weekend, when I arrived, they allowed me to switch to a smaller truck. From the moment I walked in, the young man working was polite and patient. At that time, he was dealing with several other patrons who were not being so patient, and he never lost his cool and professional manner. When it was my turn, he was quick and helpful, and the whole transaction took only 5-10 minutes. Again, it was a busy Friday - great customer service. Somehow, in making the original online reservation - my fault - I must have clicked on packing materials to be included. I have no idea what happened, but I was making the online reservation with my phone... when I noticed a lot of products I didn't want or need, I brought it to the young man's attention and he said it didn't appear on my reservation. I let it go until I saw a charge on my debit card account. I sent an email asking to address the charges and was promptly called by Jessica, who asked me what happened and wanted to make sure that it didn't relate to my experience at the location. I assured her it did not, and that my experience was excellent. She could not have been nicer and explained that I would be refunded for those charges in a few business days. Here's where they went above and beyond - Jessica called tonight to let me know they found my debit card in the truck. It had fallen out of my pocket while I was driving. As you all know, moving is stressful - I've been at a loss all day looking for my card. They could have tossed it. Many places would have. This location, Jessica and her team, made it a PLEASURE to be their patron. Amazing customer care and will always have my business!”
“I am impressed. We hired Shannon from EIS Eaheart to train our morning and night shift teams at both our Richmond and Norfolk, VA locations. She was very good, clear, and professional. She ensured that we all understood the importance of safety and the operation of both electric and LP forklifts. Shannon guided each team member during the safety inspections and the stacking exercises. Our team was very pleased and motivated by the end, and we all passed with 100%.”
