111 E 18th St, Norfolk“Love living here. There are so many community events and very helpful staff members. Just today I dropped my keys down the trash chute and they went in and found them for me! All other times I have needed help, work orders were easily submitted and quickly resolved. Beyond appreciative of this place!”
“Alanis and her team are amazing! Very well kept property and even better management. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of their community. Townhomes are spacious and accommodating for resident’s needs. Highly recommend!”
“I’m enjoying my new apartment as I type this, it wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Jade our leasing agent. She was very professional and polite . A gentle but assertive soul, who was patient, understanding and thorough. She made me feel comfortable and we had great communication through the whole process. I felt from the begining to end that I was in safe hands and she had my best interest at heart. She is such an amazing person. Thanks again Jade. If you ever read this”
“The Wainright is a beautiful historic building. When you enter the lobby, the elegance of the past can be seen everywhere, from the original bell to the old mail slots.I lived at the Wainwright for almost 18 months and felt safe there. There is no noise between the apartments; everyone is friendly and keeps to themselves.Liz and Britanny were super helpful throughout my stay, and maintenance issues were handled quickly. The rooftop lounge was great for watching thunderstorms. I did not park in the back lot, but the lot across the street, and I felt safe walking to my car.The Freemason District is full of historical charm. The Elizabeth River is within walking distance, and there are a lot of places to eat. I enjoyed the fireworks when the baseball team was playing at home from the roof. It is easy to find a scooter or catch the Tide. The Crysler is very close, and plenty of places to explore on foot. If I miss anything about the Wainwright, it is the rooftop lounge and the sunsets.”
“Scyler Snowden was a great leasing
consultant and helped/ continues to help with All our question and problems. Colony point is a great place to live! 10/10 recommend!!!”
“It's beautiful there and from what I've been told by the resident I visited, very affordable. I also like how secure it is and that you can't just going walking in and out of the building. The decor is nice and the placed smelled great to me!”

401 Granby St, Norfolk“It has been good thus far. The maintenance team responds quickly. The young man Shane on the maintenance team. Always does a good job & leaves my apartment clean when he finishes. I can always tell when he answers my calls. He also explains what he needs to do & ask permission to come in if i am not home.”
“Update: was contacted by the regional manager and the situation was corrected. Thank you for contacting me and working this out.Where is anyone? I applied for apartment May 31st with a move in date July 2nd.My application was accepted and approve on May 31st.Mahaley contacted me on email and this company took my 500 very fast. Things seemed to be moving quickly and smooth. No response or anything for over a week.I email Mahaley on June 5th asking where is the lease so I can review and sign. I am moving from out of state need to coordinate with movers and my job. I was told I’d get it in the next few days.Absolute silence from this company. I called the listed number on June 11th it’s an off shore call center. Told me they would pass my message along to Mahaley.June 12 no response emailed her asking where the lease was for review and explained again. I am moving from out of state and need to get details to my Moving company and ask other questions like where do I get keys parking etc.Silence from her still. As of now it is June 14th I was finally able to find a local number that goes straight to voicemail. At this point I just want my money back which something tells me this will be a battle. They have a clause about not refunding your 500 dollars after 3 days but then will absolutely ghost you once that 3 days has passed. This feels like I was taken for a ride at this point. Something tells me I will need to get legal representation at this point to recover my 500. this has been an extremely concerning and confusing process if it is this hard to get a lease reviewed and signed I’m deeply concerned for any issues I might face as a tenant and their ability to handle it in a reasonable manner. No other company I have ever rented from has taken this long to furnish a lease and respond to me about very simple questions. Can anyone at Pilot Place please contact me please”
“I would like to send a special shout out to Mrs. Shirley Johnson. She showed knowledge, patience, and professionalism at all times today. I was in desperate need of getting an apartment and Mrs. Johnson made me feel like I was choosing the best option. Thank you!”

1037 W 39th St, Norfolk“I have only had good experiences at Proximity at ODU. The office staff had been welcoming, kind, helpful and respectful to me. They staff makes the tenants a priority. Maintenance goes above and beyond as well. The custodial staff is always working. The rooms are nice with lots of storage area. The bathrooms are nice as well. The shared living space is nice and has the necessities. I know in the review people say they have cockroaches, but I feel like as long as you keep your living space clean you are safe from infestation. I have lived here for over a month and I haven’t seen any cockroaches in apartment. The surrounding area can be a little sketchy, but Proximity At ODU provides rides through the ODU transit. Great transitional apartment for a young adult.”
“Been here for several months and so far there hasn't been any issues. Any maintenance problems have been solved quickly and the staff have been very courteous with me.”
“I been living at Montgomery square for a few years and love it here I wish they could keep a property manager the last property manager we had Mr. Michael. He was a pretty cool guy. He knew residents by name. And always made you feel comfortable talk to him about the property. We also have a maintenance guy Kevin oh he is awesome . Kevin always make sure if I have any work orders they are taken care of right away. we were starting to have activities with Mr. Michael was here with the resident but now that he’s gone it’s like no more activities. I just don’t think it is fair that we don’t have a property manager anymore even though the other building, the people are located at other properties. I think that we need a property manager on site as well. Other than that I have no complaints. Keep the maintenance man, Mr. Kevin And found us another property manager. Thankyou”
