“Very nice market with a great selection of what seems like very fresh and high quality items. Very friendly and helpful service as well. I would just say that the prices seem very high, i.e. $15/lb for roasted brussels sprouts and $13/lb for roasted mushrooms, presumably due to being in an expensive area with higher rent. The roasted veggies did taste very good though, definitely a step above what you'd find at your average deli. Nice place to stop by if you are nearby and are okay paying a bit more but probably not worth going out of your way for.”

“This was my first time going to Sultan Gourmet Market and the service was amazing. The young man Acina was very nice and welcoming. The pruducts I brought was amazing and the meat is fresh. The baklava was amazing. The store was clean and organized. This was a great experience I will definitely come again. I recommend coming here”

There are a few honey baked Ham companies around NOVA area, and I will go out of my area to this location for phenomenal customer service. While all the Honey Baked Ham with quality food, this location stands out more because its service!Long story short, I got off late from work and realized that I still need to get a ham for my office potluck next day. With all the last moment stress plus the crazy NOVA traffic, I thought I would fail my ham mission. Christina’s welcome and caring customer service over the phone and in-person was top of notch! Thank you again for your wonderful support! It will be many more visit to Fairfax location for my future holidays and parties!”

Wagshal’s is a beloved DC institution for good reason!Wagshal’s stands out to me for its sandwiches, its holiday meal plates and its friendly, responsive service. Sandwiches are invariably well-made and delicious. We’ve also appreciated Wagshal’s holiday meal plates for 2-4 people. Deliveries are reliable.I’m sad to say that, as of late 2023, Wagshal’s prices for many holiday meats, side dishes and baked goods have grown stratospheric. That is leading me to shop more establishments and purchase from Wagshal’s less frequently. It’s unfortunate if Wagshal’s pricing is discouraging purchases by the loyal customers who built its success over the years.”

“Rafi the owner is the nicest guy on the planet. Everyone is so respectful at the store. Rafi has done great remodeling recently, and the store looks fantastic. Every product is fresh, and basically you can find everything you need to prepare Persian, Afghan, Turkish and Arab foods. All different types of sweet and cakes and whatever your missing from your homeland, you can find it here. I'm from Iran, and I have couple of trips every week to Afghan Market. As I step in, I feel like I'm at home. Hospitality of the staff, and quality of the merchandise is above and beyond. Very reasonable prices are another great feature of Afghan market. Afghan Market is highly recommended.”

“This place is simply top notch; from their service to their recommendations and finally, their products. Is it expensive? Meh. Worth it? Absolutely. One of my oldest and dearest friends lives in McLean, and I have gifted her certificates for this shop more than once. I recently ordered her a gift card that never made it, and Carson helped me locate "the error." Turns out, it was my misspelling her email address for delivery. User error is the story of my life ;) One of my very best friends needs comforting from me, but I am 3,000mi away (in CA), and these guys are not.
