“They have some good packaged biltong jerky in many different flavors. I was disappointed they did not have any fresh biltong jerky, but they let me know I could keep up with them on social media to be informed as to when they will make some fresh. They only do it twice a year, but I’ll update when I try it. The staff was very kind and suggested several alternatives for my biltong search, but there are no fresh options in the area.”

“The Cheesesteak champ is here!!!! All I can say is that my expectations we're completely blown away. Let's start with the quality of beef, and that was top-notch, I should have expected it as it operates as a butchery shop. The combination of cheese whiz, seasonings, and a bit of mayo that was cooked all together created on amazing cheesesteak. Lastly, the bread that was the vessel for this amazing creation was perfectly crispy, a soft roll that I truly was not expecting here in Maryland. If you like cheesesteaks, do yourself a favor and check them out. The fries were cooked in beef tallow and were perfect, but the star is the steak sub!”

“We've been going here since it first opened with the previous owner and stop in at least once a week. The food is delicious and you can easily put together a restaurant quality meal for your dinner. As everyone said, the crab cakes are delicious but so are all the sides, dips, soups, fresh seafood, etc. I find the service to be top notch, I never wait long for someone to serve me efficiently and with a friendly manner. I've also used their catering menu many times to serve larger groups as well as Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners & it's always terrific. Yes, it's expensive but you get what you pay for.”

Everyone is very helpful -- they ask questions about when I plan to cook it and if it's not immediately, they will vacuum seal the cuts for me. A5 isn't cheap, but the prices here are fair. I'm thankful that they always have it in stock and are attentive and helpful!”

Store is clean and has always been quick and my pickup smooth. Service is, all business, when I've been in, no smiles or jokes, get in and get out but they are efficient.”

While all the Honey Baked Ham with quality food, this location stands out more because its service!Long story short, I got off late from work and realized that I still need to get a ham for my office potluck next day. With all the last moment stress plus the crazy NOVA traffic, I thought I would fail my ham mission. Christina’s welcome and caring customer service over the phone and in-person was top of notch! Sandwiches are invariably well-made and delicious. We’ve also appreciated Wagshal’s holiday meal plates for 2-4 people. Deliveries are reliable.I’m sad to say that, as of late 2023, Wagshal’s prices for many holiday meats, side dishes and baked goods have grown stratospheric. That is leading me to shop more establishments and purchase from Wagshal’s less frequently.
