I can tell some things had changed. I was given an appointment and was taken right away. Oil was changed and I was told of something else that needed taken care of, for which I made an appointment. The guy at the desk was super nice as well as the one who changed the oil.

These guys straight up lied to us about needing to have our brakes done while they made it sound like they were looking out for us. A second opinion actually showed us how much wear was on our back brakes compared to a new set and it was only a third of the way through ...it would have cost us hundreds of dollars which we were willing to pay because they made it sound like it was a dangerous emergency that needed immediate attention. We will never go back to this place again and are telling everyone we know to stay clear...

We're from NY,and came to Hampton for vacation and to get out vehicle checked out. After spending over $10,000 for repairs in NY,Big Al's showed us that our vehicle was never repaired correctly. Even though it took a couple of days for the repairs, it was well worth the money. Our Honda Pilot is running like almost new. Thanks Terry and the crew for a job well done

Terry Elliot was very knowledgeable and gave us a good price. My husband called a few shops regarding the muffler and Terry gave us the best estimate around and wasn’t over priced at all. I highly recommend Big AL’s mufflers & brakes @ 200 west pembroke ave hampton, Va 23669. Their customer service is excellent, professional, friendly staff and willing to help any time. Shoutout to the tech Steven Mabbutt! Keep it up guys!

I had a free brake inspection yet they charged me $24.95 to rotate my tires. Now keep in mind, they had to take the wheels off to do the free brake inspection.

It is the best first experience I’ve ever had, I went in because I was concerned about my breaks, due to a recommendation from the last shop I visited where they said my breaks were very worn out and I needed new ones. I rejected the offer but my worry was still there, so I came to Big Al’s for some assistance with them and when they called me the manager explained that my breaks were completely fine and they would last a long time. When I came to pick up my car they explained me everything in detail. It’s the first time a shop has actually taken the time to explain what they saw and I was very grateful for that. The best experience in a mechanic shop.

I love taking my car here. They are very attentive to my car and what I was concerned about. They don’t try to find something wrong with your car to make money. Very good customer service!!! I would pick this location over any location in the 757, great mechanics.
