Like how they know your name since I’m a regular. The firehouse I belong to is right across street they’re in here a lot.”

Immediately Paul, the mechanic, noticed several major issues with the engine and air bag systems. We ended up talking with him for nearly an hour, with him giving incredibly in depth and helpful advice about what to look for in used cars, reliable brands, and brands and systems to watch out for. I decided against buying the car I brought in, and when I went to pay Paul refused, saying that he didn't have to do anything. However, Paul's advice saved me from a likely very bad purchase. “This was my first experience with Belle Haven Sunoco, although they had been recommended to me by several friends and neighbors. I took my 2007 vehicle in for a 140,000 mile checkup and required safety inspection. I had a few concerns that I expressed when I arrived, and we made a list of special issues for them to review, along with the normal mileage checkup.The service department kept me up to date by telephone, and the service representative informed me about three safety-related concerns that needed to be handled. In order to handle those concerns, they had to keep the vehicle overnight and estimated that it would be ready by COB the next day. I was pleasantly surprised when the technician called mid-day to say that the vehicle was ready for pickup.The work was completed to my satisfaction. The customer service was impeccable, and the vehicle is road worthy now for the next several months. I am grateful for the recommendations I received, and I would not hesitate to recommend Belle Haven Sunoco to others looking for honest, capable, and timely service.”

“This station provides excellent service and reasonable-cost repairs. My car broke down just a block (luckily) from the station. Several repairmen came down with equipment to charge the battery, to find the problem, etc. They discovered that it was leaking oil to the point that it was dry, and the car had shut itself down as a protective measure. They filled it up with oil, drove it back to the station, and repaired it all within 24 hours. They were completely transparent about the cost upfront (which was completely reasonable.) They didn't take advantage of my ignorance. Quite the opposite, they explained everything thoroughly, and were courteous, warm, and friendly.”

“My car broke down Thursday evening and I had it towed to this service station because of recommendations on my local community Facebook group. I got there after the shop was already closed, but was able to fill out the paperwork and leave the key with the store clerk. Wayne, the shop manager called first thing in the morning and was able to diagnose the problem (snapped right axle shaft) within an hour. Moreover, the car was fixed within the day and didn't cost nearly as much as I had been fearing. (For a 14 year-old car with over 120k miles, anything under $1000 is a steal to me). Hoping I won't need to, but I'll be taking my car back to Wayne at Sunoco from now on for all my car repairs. Finding a knowledgeable, and honest mechanic is like winning the lottery and I am so grateful.”

“stopped by this Shell for the fist time to see if I could walk-in and get an emissions test. It was late in the afternoon and I wasn't sure they would have time or patience for a walk-in. Immediately I was greeted with a smile and accommodation. They asked me questions and took care of the care. The technical that brought the car out also asked me questions about the car and safety inspection, etc. just to make sure I was covered. He welcomed me to come back for any additional service. They treat customers just like a dealership would, without all the hassle and appointments of a dealership.”

Monday morning, I called around and finally spoke to Bao who graciously told me to bring it in. Receptionist was prompt, took my information and Bao came over to ask about the car. He drove the car around and came inside to talk to me. Told me right away what he thought the problem is, but he needed to look under the car to make sure. Luckily they had the parts, I had my car back in under 2 hours, fixed. Thankful for the prompt service. I'll be coming here from now on.”

“me and my mom will come here for what i call 'fort belvoir fridays' it is always such a good time i get excited seeing the base (the military was tough at times but i always made it through and i definitely think it improved my life one quote that has stuck with me so much is colin powell 'No matter how hungry you all are, lieutenant, you must never appear hungry. No matter how terrified you are, lieutenant, you must never look terrified. Because if you are scared, tried, hungry and cold…. they will be scared, tired, hungry and cold." i really feel for people on that one when i was in the signal corps doing morning formations) and i have a deep appreciation for the military as well to think of soldiers standing up for the country values or the fun side too being overseas living in germany or hearing of people getting korea as their duty station i have somewhat of a understanding for the lifestyle (i sympathize when i see people who look like they are hanging on to their job and where they live or think it's cool when i see the longterm personnel who adapt to that way of living pt the unit many years of commitment and even 'indoctrination' where too mil and affiliates can solve all my problems) um one thing that'll be real cool here is when we look around we'll also see other guests and i'll be reminded of like being in tradoc and getting your civilians or nco's and being stationed somewhere else it was georgia & germany mostly for me ft meade too the cashiers here have been phenomenal with their professionalism and demeanor a guy like a statue i'll definitely daydream about stuff like the hot gas station food or when i was in the barracks so this will be a pitstop i had mused about meeting people (i am pretty anchored here and thought i could be useful but then again i am a veteran and out) but heard warnings about that or also not wanting complaints for example”
