“My HVAC unit went out about two weeks ago, and I was in search of window/portable units until I could get someone out. Not only did they have the best priced units, they were available immediately for curbside pickup. The first 2 worked wonderful, until a few days later we started smelling something sweet and found out one of the Toshiba window units was leaking Freon. So, I went and returned it for a portable unit and it was a blessing in disguise because a pro associate approached me while shopping and asked how old my HVAC unit was. Talk about coincidence! Store associate Amber was absolutely wonderful. She was super friendly, helped me load the a/c in my trunk while conversing friendly, and then thanked me and shook my hand. I will most certainly be back to this store! This is the best customer service I've seen in a while. The only complaint I have is that when I went to return the unit leaking Freon, the woman at the customer service desk was on her phone and didn't realize I was standing there for a few minutes, then wasn't very friendly. Other than that, I had an extremely pleasant experience here!”
“Edith was nice but very blunt basically telling me that if we didn't make our payment they would call and call the references and then come knock on our door to get payment. I found it to come off rude. Then I asked if I'd be able to pick up the system today and she said no we have to deliver it so that we know where you live. Again found that to be off putting.”

“This post is purely based off of Walter or John as his Home Depot smock said. No literally it said my name is Walter or John and when I asked about it he said it's either. I'll answer to both. My husband and I came in with a long list of needs and we really don't have a clue what we are doing with some of these projects. Walter/John was not phased at all and was more than willing to walk around with us and assist. He took his time and explained the different products and made us very comfortable with our purchases. He did all of this with a smile on his face and some funny jokes. Thanks Walter/John for making an experience I really wasn't looking forward to into a pleasant experience.”
“Me & hubby went here to get an Augger for a stopped up toilet. I am from IL and it seems the customer service in Home Depot is typically the same, which is not a good thing in my opinion. When entering the store, no one ever speaks or greets you. Also, as you walk through the store, the associates never ask "is there something that I can help you with"? It's like they are trained "if the customer doesn't say anything to you, then you don't say anything to them"! Like I previously mentioned, this appears to be a standard practice even back home. I gave it a rating of "4" because the product we needed was in stock and we used self check out, not because the customer service was great! Home Depot, you must do better NATIONWIDE!”
“Wes is the best! I purchased a game online and went to go pick it up at the location near Chesapeake Sq. Mall. Unfortunately, the game looked like a box cutter had gotten to it so it cut side of the game case and the paper that shows the game title. Wes was more than happy to accommodate and reorder another game for me. Even though there is a wait (which is totally fine) I’m very happy that Wes was empathetic towards my hobby as a gamer and offered to rectify this. I’d give him 1000 stars if I could!!!!!!”
“First time at this location, in desperate need of a small moving vehicle THAT DAY after UHaul on Military Hwy in Norfolk failed to have the vehicle I reserved available for me with no apology, no offer to check other locations, etc. >>> “Bobby” in the rental dept saved the day- he was awesome. Super busy, knowledgeable and provides descriptive, helpful instructions on operating equipment (from what I reserved as 2nd in line), and this while being super busy and answering the phone. Very nice guy, absolutely great customer service. Would visit this location again solely based on his good customer service.”
