“This store is such a blessing to have in Vienna! It's helped me expand my efforts to take care of our earth. First I was introduced to the washing machine sheets so I don't have to get the big detergent packages. Now I also use the dryer balls so I don't purchase the dryer sheets that don't compost. I learn about new products constantly there and always feel uplifted as I leave. I look forward to going back, almost hoping I'll run out of something sooner, lol.There's a discussion about a native plant swap later in April also. I enjoy their events, and educational as well.”

“It took a while for us to decide on Budget Blinds. I compared several window treatment stores based not only on cost but quality, style and service. We decided to go with blackout remote controlled honeycomb shades in our bedroom and 1% solar (99% blocking of UV rats) remote controlled panels in the dining/kitchen area. The quality and color of the window treatments were excellent and the motors of the remote were just a hum which was important to us.Nathan Risk was extremely knowledgeable and helped us decide on the manufacturer based on quality, cost and warranty terms. There are so many to choose from so his expertise was critical in helping us decide. He gave us time to compare with others before we placed our order with Budget Blinds.The installers were prompt and very respectful of our home. They were efficient in installations and programming the remote control.One of the remotes did not come with the package so Diane from the main office made sure to order and have it mailed to us. The office staff were very responsive from start to finish. We ordered the blinds on Nov 20 and they were installed just before Thanksgiving.When we received the second remote, Nathan came back and programmed all the shades to our specifications. He did separate programming for each shade plus one other programming for all shades in tandem.One caveat about the black out shades is that some sunlight will filter in between the shades but we knew that and it didn’t bother us much. Perhaps we will find a way to filter out the small column of lights between shades.Overall I highly recommend Budget Blinds for all the reasons stated above.”

“I contracted with VanEck Studio to choose paint colors for my entire house. The owner came to my house during the day and then back another day in the evening to compare lighting under different conditions. She picked a palette of colors that I would never have chosen for myself, but decided that I would go with them because she is a professional. Wow! I am so amazed at the changes in my house! I'm loving every single color she has chosen. I'm attaching pictures of the guest bedroom since I just finished painted that room. “Had a great experience picking up an online order at this store - I was helped immediately and attentively and was in and out within minutes. The employees were even kind enough to proactively load a piece of furniture into my car for me. Some of the individual items were clearly taken and packed from the store shelves, and all were extremely well-packed and protected. I was really just impressed by how nice the employees were and how they went above and beyond to make this a pleasant experience.I've also browsed this particular store once or twice and it's pretty well-stocked. World Market in general can be hit or miss, but mostly hit. I don't generally love the accessories or clothing or a lot of the artwork - to me, a lot of their items in these categories feel cheap (because they are), while their other goods are also inexpensive but don't feel or look like it. I still have the extremely affordable and attractive loveseat, dining table, and coffee table I bought there nearly a decade ago and all have held up miraculously. A couple more recent (and slightly more upscale) furniture purchases have also exceeded expectations, and I swear by some of their dishware as functional, quality, durable basics.”

They also have a nice selection of Virginia (and made-in-Virginia) gifts, including local things like kitchen towels that say Fairfax on them, and a lot of cute things that are perfect for when you want to give a gift but don't want to give something really generic. Most stuff in the store is made in the USA, also a plus.”
