“Wow! I am just so pleased with my store experience today. A little cutie patootie named Max helped me out so much today! I came into the store today in search of soil for my gardening pots but I needed help as I did not know which I needed for my pots. I went up to a young man named max who seemed to be seemed to be busy but dropped everything and started helping. He was a huuuuuge help. He taught me all of the nooks and crannies of soil and showed me everything I needed to know and which to buy. Also at checkout he was being a great helper as I was having trouble with my coupons, these gizmos these days are killing me. But he did what he should and called his manager over who later helped me, it was a life saver. He was such a polite young man too and even carried my bags of soil out to my car. Oh boy do I wish I was young again and could carry my stuff! This boy is a rockstar as most kids his age are too lazy to even do a job. When I was a kid everyone had jobs! 5 stars!!!!”

“In a spur of the moment visit to Alexandria, found this quaint little shop that turned out to be nice surprise. Bruce was in the store and helped us find the perfect fabric for our special chair. We’ve been looking for the prefect fabric to match the elegance and design of the chair but couldn’t find the perfect one, until we found Bruce. Here it is…all done and ready for no one to sit in it ?. Thanks for the help and professional recommendation on design…it’s beyond perfect now!”

“I am so happy I found Albert and his company, Astro Services. I own a spa in Alexandria and we wanted to get in-ceiling speakers in stalled for our music since we have extremely noisy upstairs neighbors. I am SO impressed with the professionalism of Albert and his company. The best companies to work with are the ones where the owners are involved with the day-to-day operations. From the very first email exchange with Albert until the completion of the installation, he was on top of things. I am also impressed by how quickly and consistently he communicated throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Astro Services. We we’re having trouble placing the order, but she managed to work her magic around the computer and was able to figure it out .I myself come from HR and customer service. I saw that Mrs Rose truly likes her job. “Now under new ownership as Del Ray Hardware, there is slightly more room inside and it's a little easier to find what you are looking for. Staff are very friendly and eager to help and/or strike a conversation. Love that it was able to remain in the neighborhood. And that they are very dog friendly - we picked up a bag of pet safe ice melt and Penny utilizes the water bowl out front frequently. Plus, they have treats inside for any doggos who go shopping.”

“So so wish I could award half stars! I think this location deserves 3.5 stars.I like that the store advertises the mask mandate and provides hand sanitizer for customers. However, no one really social distances here. Unfortunately that includes employees who are walking close to you with their mask pulled down. Otherwise we had a good experience and found what we needed!”

“This review is essentially about Home Depot's access to the Bagster service. I had hundreds of pounds of old roofing that needed removal. You need a place to put the bag that they can pick up without interfering with overheads, like wires and space, like parking. It cost me about $250! And I could have loaded even more, but I didn't have time. They don't take old appliances etc. In under 10 minutes, they were done and gone. It's www.thebagster.com.”

“Ronneisha at the Washington DC Lowe's was super helpful. Greeted me when I walked in and asked if I needed help, which I did! The pavement salt I was looking for was hard to find and she pointed it out. Also helped me check out faster. She also asked me if I found what I needed when I passed by. Usually Lowe's associates are not to be found or not very helpful but Ronneisha was a breath of fresh air!”

“The people here really do help you and they want you to have what you need. It's just difficult to get lumber cut because there is only one person that can do it. I came back on two different days and it was just the one person and he was on lunch break one time and the next I had to wait a little bit not too long. They need to train more people how to use this that are on shift”

“Reading the reviews, the ratings are pretty low for the store and I feel conflicted offering my review. Well not really. "If it doesn't apply, let it fly." I live in an apartment and was only in Home Depot to look at house plants. You can jump to that Millennial conclusion all you want but I used to live in a basement and since I love having plants but don't believe in pets. Alas, I found the house plant selection to be extensive and affordable. I wasn't expecting to buy anything but I ended up leaving with a couple for under diez dolares. Paying for the plants was easy, they are still amongst the living and I have no complaints.”

I came in completely confused how to fix my oven door hinge and he showed me all the tools I needed, how to use them, and even got me started with the repair. He was beyond helpful and even showed me how to avoid the problem in the future by demoing on one of the models in the appliance section.Every time I come to this store I've found the customer service to be so helpful. “This is a great neighborhood hardware store. All of the guys working there are so helpful to find things or give some light project advice. Every time I think about going to the big box store, I start at Bill's, and usually find everything I need, with much better store staff at bills.”
