They have all the typical services like money orders, cashier's checks, CDs/money markets, savings accounts, car loans, etc. No problems.”

“Had read the dismal reviews and was hesitant to go to this branch to conduct some mundane account business. But because of its proximity to my home I decided to drop in. My experience was a pleasant one....checked in upon entering and waited no more than 2-3 minutes before a young man introduced himself and asked me into his office to discuss my needs. Of course I can't recall his name.......but he was polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. He easily took care of the issues that I needed addressed and, with that, I was on my way. I'm sure that the negative reviews that have been posted were posted for good reason. I simply wanted to share a positive experience for the branch.....”

“I bought CDs from PenFed multiple times, because they offer great rates - sometimes the best in the nation. Some of their processes are a little bit old fashioned, but that's OK. What is NOT OK is secret transfer limits. That's right; they limit transferring YOUR money out; the employees know what the limit is, but are literally not allowed to share the info with customers! I was able to figure out that the secret transfer limit was $30,000 per month, resetting on the 13th of each month. Separately, they have not-secret limits; for me, the limit was $5000 per day. Depending on the amount of your CD, it can take a LONG time to get your money out of PenFed, unless you wire the money out. I would be giving a lower rating, but a helpful employee's good attitude makes me feel that 4 stars is the right score.”
“I have been a member since the 1990s and Mr. Sergio Reyes that works in the Kingstowne Branch in Alexandria VA is amazing. His customer service is the best I have ever seen at this branch. I recommend that he is promoted as soon as possible. You really don’t want to lose such a young gentleman with such superb customer service skills beyond his years.”
“Stop blocking my card! Stupid credit card fraud triggers twice a week and they dont do anything to correct it. Wasnt an issue for the first year I had the card but now im having to call every week about a fraud alert.Changed my rating as they have added a text alert feature to acknowledge i did the transaction. This is much better now and im a happy customer again.”
