“I do like this store. They offer a variety of Indian foods as well as many staple foods I expect to see at a convenient store. Located on Elliot Street and open most everyday if not everyday. The isles are a bit tight making it a little difficult for us who need to use a rollator to get around with. It is not at all impossible to shop here and I am sure if I needed it they would help me to get any selection I could not get on my own. This is a very nice store with curtious and helpful attendees.”

“ALDI is wonderful for produce, dairy, unique foods, cheeses and chips. This is my go to for everything. Only down side is sometimes they don't have the same thing twice.”

“The Avenue Grocery has been a fixture in the neighborhood since the beginning of time, but Katie and Scott have added some interesting new offerings to this charming little store. The Avenue Grocery provides an outlet for some of the most popular vendors at the Brattleboro Farmer's Market. Patricia, from Wild Flour Vermont Bakery, sets up shop in the compact cafe on Saturday mornings and neighbors gather for coffee and pastries at a window overlooking the Whetstone valley. Look for Indian food from Dosa Kitchen, bialies from Benny Bread, baguettes from Gilles, and the obvious from Tito's Tacos and the Biscuit Wagon. The sign out front advertises Shoe Repair and Knife Sharpening. What more could a neighborhood want?”

“I am happy to have finally gone here after driving by it so often. This is a must see local staple. The staff here were very friendly and helpful when I interacted with them. The parking situation is easy but even the closest parking spots are like 50 yards away from the main entrance due to how the area is designed. I was able to get many different local coffee beans from the selection they had. I am looking forward to going back again soon!”

“Never had issues with this place. It's right down the road from me, and they literally sell everything. Good selection of food, clothes, toiletries, pet food, clothes, yard and home decor, etc. Not everything is high end quality, but do you expect? It's Dollar General, not Macy's. Service has always been good in my experiences and when I need any easy food, cat food, and toothpaste, among other things, it's a great store.”

“Went in the store around 9:15 to purchase some fresh haddock and there wasn't one piece of fish on display in the seafood display....only ice! I would honestly think once youre open for business those things would be all ready for sale.”

“I normally don’t shop here but when I travel up north to Vermont and New Hampshire we go to Hannaford and the food co-op that’s downtown Vermont. They have good variety of different foods you cannot get when you go south. The cheese and meats I buy a lot of because they have a lot better quality then Stop&Shop which is down here in CT.”
