I originally rented at the Provo airport, but wound up with a sporty sedan that sat too low to the ground for my 84 year old disabled dad traveling with me. After 3 days, I returned to Provo to see about swapping it for something a little higher off the ground, but the agent would not work with me. If I wanted to swap cars, I would need to pay an additional $400 for the remaining 3 days in a larger vehicle. I showed the agent I could rent the same larger vehicle he was offering, for half the price on the Budget website a few miles up the road. The agent wouldn't budge, so I returned the sedan early and ran up to the Orem location where I had reserved a larger car online. Upon arrival in Orem, the agent said they were sold out, even though they had given me a confirmation number. Her solution was to send me to Enterprise across the street. I had to ask her to find me another Budget location with availability. After being bounced around with no help, I landed in front of James Murray at the American Fork Budget Car Rental. Not only did he empathize with my TERRIBLE experience at the airport, he offered a free upgrade to an even larger car that would be easier for my elderly parents to get in and out of.
