It is important to have an experienced groomer especially with my breed of dog (miniature schnauzer). I thought my dog would need to be shaved but Hunter was able to save his skirt!!! 5906 Paige Rd, The ColonyHad a great experience at The Colony Animal Clinic. Easy to get an appointment: same week. I arrived a little early and they were ready for me, I didn’t have to wait. The staff were very nice with me and to my dog. The vet saw us promptly and was happy to answer any questions. A really refreshing vet experience after having long delays at other vets on business days. Didn’t try to upsell for anything and very reasonable price. Will definitely be my go to vet going forward!

Vet was very nice and personable, explained everything very thoroughly and told us she agreed with the treatment plan our vet had us on. She alerted us to a potential abdominal issue with our dog so she recommended we get an abdominal ultrasound. All in all it was a good visit and a good investment of time and money to confirm what was going on with our dog's health. I would definitely consider making them our primary vet if we lived closer.

She is always so excited when we pull up to the facility and gets home super tired from all the activities and fun. The videos and pictures they provide are amazing memories that I have been able to keep forever. Not to mention, they have a special talent for getting the dogs to sit pretty for their pictures! I will never have enough amazing things to say about this team and facility!

The service was dedicated and polite when my sister and I ordered our boba tea ? and dessert. What was the bread (or is it the batter) they used that made both their Cookies & Cream Snowfall Cake AND their Tiramisu Treasure Cake? Because DAMN, it was so heavenly delicious and delightful. This place is so posh and SO IN, would definitely return for another cup besides drinking good Vietnamese coffee ☕.

5768 Grandscape Blvd Suite 145, The ColonyStumbled upon this winebar when wandering around the area. The man who served me was knowledgeable about the wines, which is always a plus. I enjoyed the rose I tried. Indoor seating appeared to be limited, but I believe there is a larger outdoor seating area that I didn't explore. The wine list wasn't extensive, but they did have a decent amount of variety. They also offer a range of price points, so it's approachable to many. The only thing I was told that seems to be a potential yellow flag is that they don't get new wine every often. My understanding is that they switch out their standard selections occasionally, but they don't really bring in something new to try/test with the customers. I always enjoy trying new wines, so if this is true (and I'm not mistaken), I'd eventually try everything they offer. On the flip side, some people like consistency and knowing their favorite wine will always be available, so to each their own. My rating is on my experience at this first visit, and not what may or may not be. Check it out if you like winebars.

The short story is that we found this place and it is a gem. Though a 30 minute drive away for us on a good day, we love it so much we call it our secret pub. It looks unassuming from the outside, but the staff and patrons are tops. Steven and Ashley bartend and will take care of you. I like a lot of the items on their menu. I'm almost afraid to recommend this place so as to not lose our secret spot, but I'm sure anyone reading this will love the place too. Side note; I keep going back for fish and chips. So crispy yet flaky. Love this place.

5774 Grandscape Blvd Suite 205, The ColonyWe went for a B1/G1 burger offer. The burgers were fine. I appreciated I could sub a gluten free bun for just $1. I was excited when the fries ended up being pomme frite size but they tasted reheated or leftover. I really like the decor and layout inside. I was surprised it was louder than I thought it would be on a Monday at 5:30 but there was a family with 3 small children literally RUNNING in circles around their table and 3 large parties celebrating birthdays, so that explains that. Might try it again if another special comes up sometime.

The Shacks Dining & Dog Park
5800 Windhaven Pkwy, The ColonyVery cute place! Only one restaurant was open when I went there.... I only stayed for about and hour. My very Introvert dog was all stressed out! The food looked good at all the other places lol since I walked around and was being nosey looking at all the menus. ?
The coffee at The Turbo was a 10/10 for me!
It was kinda pricey but all in all a good place to go check out!

Pawsome Playground Dog Park
4800 E Lake Highlands Dr, The ColonyLove this park. Very big. Lots of trash cans and bags supplied. Plenty of cold water is also supplied. There are usually plenty of furry friends for your fur baby to play with after work hours during the week. Careful on Thursdays. Park is usually closed for maintenance. Great job City of The Colony for adding this as a resident amenity.
