I understand that place is under renovations but room was beat up. Desk had been gouged and scratched.

Sadly, I also did NOT read reviews before scheduling our stay. So much for relying on Marriott to manage quality of its properties. These owners should be held accountable, or lose the Marriott brand. Read the other recent reviews...ditto on everything.
