“Nice, clean hotel. The mattress was awesome. The water pressure in the shower was great. Our freezer pac got stuck in the freezer due to too much ice build up. I had to use the blow dryer to melt some of the ice to retrieve it. Breakfast was the standard, eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, etc. Thought it was odd to see tip jar out at a help yourself breakfast.”

“What sticks out the most at this Hotel is Donna in the kitchen for breakfast. She goes above and beyond to make sure Everybody that walks in is greeted and content with their breakfast. Very refreshing to see. The breakfast alone, with the environment Donna has set, is worth the stay.”

“One of the nicest Motels I've stayed at in Texarkana. Staff is very friendly. They keep their motel maintenance up. You can tell they take pride in providing a nice place to stay.Rooms: The rooms are very nice. Well kept and up to date.Safety: Cameras at all areas of the parking lot.Walkability: Walmart right across the street.Food & drinks: In the center of all types of restaurants.”

“My room was clean. Customer service was excellent. I forgot to put my do not disturb sign on and the house keeper that day came and cleaned my room. She told me that she would come back and bring me towels. This lady was responsible for cleaning most of the rooms that day. I saw her work really hard. Before she left she came back and brought me the towels she had promised me. I will say that the room smelled like cigarettes and I am a nonsmoker. But because I saw how hard this lady worked I decided that it wasn't her fault that the room smelled like cigarettes.”

Lots of parking. Dogs allowed, which may concern some, but I only encounter dogs with well-behaved owners.”

The bug problem has been addressed years ago, bugs are nature, if a door is left open and is contaminated, then it will be addressed. “Cute and quiet when I stayed here.The air conditioner is high and in the closet, took a while to cool the room. The fridge was off, so I can not review that.There was only one 120v outlet in the room.There are two 240v outlets!No outlet was grounded, so electric car charging is not available.There is a public fast charger just two blocks away at city hall, by the monument”

“I walked in the hotel and was greeted by Tyrone. He is a GREAT individual with exceptional energy. His customer service skills is A1, and I felt taken care of.I would come back just because of how I was treated.Thank you!.The rooms looked good as I walked in. Clean and comfortable . The shower could have been more clean.I have a baby, so I needed the fridge, but it wasn’t as cold as I would have wanted it to be. But other than that, I would stay here again.”

“I have a new favorite place to stay on long road trips... Candlewood Suites. We are 2 women moving from Texas to Pennsylvania with a truck, car on a trailer, SUV, and 2 cats, and this Candlewood Suites could not have been more accommodating. Jay, the front desk guy, was wonderful, and the room was exactly what we needed - full fridge with ice maker, plates, silverware, glasses, Dove products, etc. And when we entered the room, the A/C was blowing and the TV was on. It sorta felt like a home away from home. Thanks, Candlewood and Jay, for making our trip a little less horrible.”

“What a beautiful hotel! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, bathroom was nice, tub needed a little attention, but all in all, very pleasant stay. The lobby was inviting and pretty with a cute little Cafe just off to the right. Didn't get the joy of experiencing the Cafe but would have loved it. The location was really good too.I would stay here again, no question.”

These owners should be held accountable, or lose the Marriott brand. Read the other recent reviews...ditto on everything. I understand old, but this place is dirty, and there is no excuse for that.”

“I’m really not understanding all the bad reviews.. My daughter and I just stayed a month there and it was perfectly fine.. Honestly the staff was so gracious to me.. I’m disabled and had forgot my fan at home and they instantly brought me one.. And I’m sure that’s not provided.. Granted it’s a older motel and one could say it’s a little worn with age but still it maintains a dignity of grander days.. This was the third time we’ve stayed here and would stay again.. The staff is so friendly and helpful and free Wi-Fi, free parking and the rooms are clean.. Oh and did I mention the Waffles? Yummy with a choice of coffee and juices.. The rooms are cheap and agreeable I have to give a Five Star review.. Thank you..”
