La Fiesta is a local supermarket praised for its good selection of fresh Mexican produce, including chili ancho, tomatillos, and nopales. Compared to larger stores like H-E-B, it tends to be less crowded, making shopping more comfortable. Customers appreciate the fresh meat, such as tender pork chops and steaks, and the quality of fresh vegetables, which makes this store their new go-to supermarket. The store often offers good deals through flyers, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. However, some shoppers notice that prices are higher than at other stores, with items like cat food and wine costing significantly more. There are concerns about deceptive practices, such as discrepancies between shelf prices and checkout prices, which have led some to stop shopping there. Customers also advise caution when buying discounted seasoned meats, as some may be spoiled despite the seasoning disguising the smell and appearance. A notable highlight is the store’s caring staff. One employee, in particular, was recognized for her kindness and understanding when helping a customer with children who have special needs. Her calm and gentle approach helped soothe a child experiencing sensory overload, demonstrating the store’s compassionate side. Overall, La Fiesta is valued for its fresh produce, friendly staff, and less crowded environment, although price differences and pricing transparency are points to consider.
The meat we got was fresh and tender. The price was pretty good
