I started going by the bank more frequently and really enjoyed the staff and noticed that they always remembered my name when I'd stop by. “Ufcu has been great for me. I went to a different branch today and there were no human tellers. Just a screen with a payphone type handle for privacy if desired. It was weird. If you want to deal with humans in front of you, I don't recommend this branch. Otherwise, great credit union.”

“Good luck trying to call them on the phone. I called the local number, and not a single one of the options presented lets me speak to a human to inquire about safe deposit boxes.
UPDATE: the email provided by the response to my original review was very helpful. Also, while there is no phone menu option about what I wanted to ask, apparently pressing 5 and picking one of the next options could get you to a human who can answer your question even if the phone menu suggests they can't.”

“I've never really found a bank that I love because let's face it, banking is not easy. There are lots of moving pieces and it can be confusing or frustrating to the average banker, like myself. I was pretty upset with my old bank for the last time when I walked into R Bank a couple weeks ago ready to switch again. I've been with UHCU for over 20 years now and can tell you that yes there is sometimes a wait but where ever is there never a wait? Their rates are great and I have had several personal loans and vehical loans through them with ZERO issues.
