I would love to give minus 5 stars because that’s how awful this service is. It goes out for at least a few hours ever other day. It is by far the worst of any service I have ever bought and all this for the outrageous price of $160 per month. I have had it.

Do not use Optimum ever. I was with them for almost two years and the entire time the internet was subpar. They also do not train their employees properly. I was told wrong information that resulted in me paying $90 (which I was told I had already paid) when I tried to cancel. You are better off using AT&T or literally anything else.

Worst service ever! We got them in Pilot Point for leas than a month and cancelled after we saw AT&T was in the area. No technicians ever available.By the way is this company so broke you can't even fix the store sign??

Absolute worst provider ever! Service constantly out and when you call they question if your service is really out even though the robot says it is at the beginning of the call. If you request a service tech and stay home from work to meet them, they won't show up and then charge you $50. If you request a service tech because your service has been out for 45 days straight they will tell you that they will charge you $50 if they can't find anything wrong. Obviously something is wrong if I don't have service but they are just out to rip people off! But they have no issues with charging you for a service they won't even provide. If you request a credit for the days you don't have service they act like you are a liar. Just the worst company I've ever dealt with. Horrible service, horrible customer service, just total garbage. They also raise their rates constantly without warning, just one month your bill is double (and I'm not talking about after the initial period, just constantly raising prices after that). Optimum as a name for this company is a joke. Just disgusting.

This is a review of Optimum in general, not the proposer store specifically. My complaint is the customer service and lack of tech assistance. My Wi-Fi went out yesterday. I was on the phone all day today, off and on, from 10 am to 9 pm with a phone operator who told me to unplug and reset the monitor over and over again. After not being able to detect the issue, she told me they couldn't send a tech out until the 14th to look at it. How am I supposed to work from home and take care of my baby who needs Wi-Fi for her monitors for over a week? This is unacceptable! I can't just pack up and take my 4 month old to work at Starbucks with me. I hope no one else experiences this with optimum.

Laughable. We looked for alternative internet providers due to Optimum’s poor reviews online. Unfortunately, Optimum seemed to be our only option. The soonest appointment was from 10-2 the following Friday. No one showed. At 2, we called for a status update and customer service said our appointment was pushed back to 6:09-7:09 and that someone would call us back. 6pm rolls around and no one calls back. We called again and customer service said no one came because of a payment issue. We paid everything one week prior. Then she said she can schedule us for next Friday. Why weren’t we the highest priority since our appointment was for that day?? So we had to schedule for the following Friday from 8-11am. When asked to speak to their manger the operator replied that she did not have one. We went to an Optimum store and the employee said she could not really help us but that she would note that our appointment was an “escalation” so that maybe someone could come sooner. The next Friday at 7:30am, the technician calls to confirm our “troubleshooting” appointment for today. We replied “no, it’s an installation appointment.” So then he said he can’t come to install because we were scheduled for troubleshooting and his dispatcher would not allow him to execute the appointment. We ended up cancelling our service before we even had installation. Hard to believe this is even a real company lol ?

Don't do it. They're charging me a full month of service because I cancelled 1 day into the new billing cycle. They've never heard of "proration" This is consumer fraud and will be reported to Texas Attorney General - Consumer Protection Division!!! Customer for 2 years and get treatment like this!! Sad way to do business. Nothing against this store or it's employees. They were very nice when I returned the equipment. but stay away from this service!!

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Called to have two additional cable boxes added to my account. Due to not having coax connections in these rooms these lines would need to be ran. Technician came out and stated they no longer run coax and to go out and buy iPads or iPhones to stream their service. Called customer service 2 hours lasted we were told they would have another tech come out. Tech calls and tells me same thing, they no longer do that. 2 more hours on the phone being yelled at, hung up on, and everything else you could think of to finally find out they do not run coax. Called to cancel cable today to be told they will send me appletv boxes and I just have yo plug them in. No one at their call center knows what they are doing. Go straight to cancellation department, they are the only folks who know anything.

If I could give a score of 0 I would. As I purchased my new home I was referred to this company by the sales office. Had service installed on 9/5/2023 on the day I moved in. Cancelled the cable services the following week as details of the “offer” and “incentives” proved not credible as it was more costly than anyone else. Trying to cancel took an almost an hour as the person refused to take no for an answer. She was relentless. Today I cancelled the rest of the services of internet and landline phone. The guy on the phone was even worst. I had workers here and had my phone on speaker. I tried and tried to CANCEL and the guy offered me every deal the previous woman had not and said he could see all the times I called in with problems with their product and services and despite me continuously saying I want to cancel and even spelled out CANCEL to him in all caps I said. Again he was relentless. I told him he was causing my blood pressure to rise. Finally an older gentleman, a plumber who was here working took the phone from me and said didn’t you hear her, she said Cancel. After about 20 minutes of this he said it was cancelled. Don’t know what the bill for less than 30 days will be but it should be $0. When I asked how could I turn in the equipment he said I had to do so in person at the location which is quite a distance from me in 7-10 days. He never offered me the opportunity to preprint a return label and drop it off at a location like fed ex.this is how I returned the cable box. I would NEVER, EVER recommend Optimum to anyone. They talk a good game to get you in but service leaves a lot to be desired. Even today when calling in the automated notice said their service was down. They owe me not the other way around.

As many have said, Optimum deserves 0 stars. We moved and got service a month ago. 4 techs have come to the house, I’ve spent hours and hours on the phone and in chat with “tech support” that only knows how to power cycle. The last tech didn’t even plug the outside coax cable back into the house access point before leaving, clearly indicating he didn’t bother to check for a resolution. I keep being told they are sending another tech that will fix the issue, and then they come out unprepared and incapable of doing anything, and leave after blaming the last tech for not knowing what they were doing. This is a company that should not be in business. They send you a bill and then provide completely inadequate service, at this point it’s theft.

I wish 0 stars was an option. I scheduled an install appt for a service move when we moved houses. Clinician never showed. I got a call from someone else about 30 minutes before time window ended saying technician was running late, then never got additional communication and nobody showed. Called and rescheduled, clinician didn't show again, no communication and they were doing a system update so customer service couldn't help with anything at all. I told them to cancel me, which they said I'd have to call back when system was working. Terrible customer service!!! Use any other service provider you can. 0 stars!

Terrible customer service. Scheduled installation a month in advance in order to avoid internet disruptions during our move since we both work from home.Day of they cancel our appointment after saying someone would arrive soon. Initially, they lied and told us that they showed up and no one was home, which was untrue. When we pressed they changed their story to they were too busy for us and did not even know when they could reschedule.Avoid them at all costs.

If I could give a negative 10000 I would. Do not under any circumstances use this company. I tried to cancel my services after I was leaving the country, they convinced me to put it on a seasonal hold instead and they said I would be getting charged $20/month. I get back to the country and see my bill at $655! When I was previously getting charged $109/month and the seasonal hold would have put me at $20 so all together my bill would have been $130 tops. I called the company they advised a supervisor would contact me multiple times, only for them to never contact me. I called them and was on the phone for over 4 hours they kept transferring me to different departments, acting like they were doing me a favor, offering me $20 credits instead of trying to fix the issue. Every department acknowledged seeing the error but nobody was fixing my issue. Till 5 hours later they gave me a mediocre fix. Pay attention to your bill! These people are scammers! I will never again use this service.

I called the customer service line to see if they were in my area and to sign up for service and the gal that I talked to said they were, and told me how much it would be per month. I told her I would sign up online because I was waiting for a new router and when I placed my order online, I got an email from someone else immediately saying they were not in my area and canceled my order. I replied to the email stating that they should make sure that their customer service agents know how to tell somebody if they are in their area or not, but the language barrier made this impossible. What a bummer you can't get customer service agents that actually knows what they're talking about anymore.
