Do not get Internet with these people. I have wasted multiple nights chatting with their customer service people about getting an upgraded modem and turns out they only have one kind but the original person never said that. They sent us the exact modem we already had and talking to technical support was like talking to a child who has no idea what's going on. We also originally got a booster for the Internet and what's bizarre is once you hook it up everyone loses internet. their customer service sucks and so does their service.

We’ve had an outage in my neighborhood for hours now and several outages since moving here to the Celina/Prosper area. I work from home so this is a huge inconvenience. When I called Optimum to report the outage, an automated system advised they’re working on routine maintenance and will have service restored in our area as soon as possible! It’s Thursday! Why not schedule this on Saturday or Sunday night?? Unacceptable. I’m switching my service to another provider. I’m done with this nonsense.

Warning to any DFW area residents considering Optimum for your home internet service. DO NOT PLAN ON HAVING RELIABLE SERVICE. The infrastructure is old and failing. During a typical month we experience roughly 5-10 outages that last the majority of the day. Customer service is atrocious and will not give a fair credit for lack of service. If I don’t have service then I believe I should not pay. I have not asked for more than the daily rate on the days without service and they will not honor my request. I also added a screenshot of one of my last online chats with customer service so everyone can see the level of professionalism within Optimum. Stay clear of this service provider.

My install was prompt and on time.
The Optimum store was able to get me a working router since my original router developed a short. The store employees were nice and accommodating.
Optimum customer phone service is mediocre. They have been unable to correct my address. Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm. We will see.
As far as the internet goes it has been great. Consistent and the speed I am paying for. It is more expensive than Spectrum but I only have access to Optimum or AT&T. I know AT&T customers in my area have been having issues but I have been fine so far.

DO NOT USE OPTIMUM. Go with att they offer the similar pricing with out the hassle.
I got WiFi through optimum bc the representative told me att wasn’t in my area. They were lying later on I found out through att that was in my area. They then proceeded to give me 2 free month of WiFi so I didn’t cancel. I try setting up my WiFi and then I’m told I will be out of WiFi for over a week. Even though I’d setup my account and got my router 2 weeks prior. Super shady buisness practices and they try and oversell to make up for the fact their service is a load of crap.
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I repeat do not use optimum.

Hunter and Duran helped me get 1 gig and internet for the same price as 1 gig internet in my old house from Optimum. Very pleased with their customer service, knowledge, and ability to help out a loyal customer!
