“We had our church retreat at T Bar M. Everything went smoothly. I liked that I was given a special phone number to call if we had any problems that happened, and when they did, they were handled very quickly. I highly recommend this place for a Church Retreat!”

“Amazing small hotel in downtown New Braunfels. Each room is unique, and the hotel itself is historic and extremely interesting to look at. The service is top notch, and they even provide walking tours where they show all of the historic aspects of the hotel. In the basement is Sidecar, an excellent jazz bar, and Muck and Fuss (a burger based restaurant) is attached next door. They also have dedicated parking for hotel guests. Definitely recommend checking them out for a weekend or longer!”
“Can't beat the location and charm!Rooms: A step back in time, with modern conveniences and attention to guest experience.Nearby activities: Walk to Gruene Hall!”

The only problem with the room was that the ice maker didn’t work after I turned it on. There was no other ice machine either, but that was a minor problem. They should also clean the elevator daily. Overall, a great place to stay.
Nearby activities: Central location - easy access to all recreation areas.”

Rooms were cool, clean and linen was fresh and crisp. I had the king suite which was roomy enough for several in a family. Adjoining doors are ideal for larger groups. Overall, i was very pleased with my stay. The breakfast was filling and up to par, Parking was wonderful...but the BEST thing BY FAR that this hotel has going for it, is a person, ..Modham (I thought his name was Honan?). He is FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, KIND and REAL! We live in a society that hardly acknowledges one another anymore, or really SEES you...and so, this was a pleasant surprise. And for all you young Indian, Hindi women that may come across this, he is single! Lol. Great hotel for lodging, has a swimming pool and hottub that looked clean and inviting, the location is central to EVERYTHING... I would definitely go back.”
“We had a great time staying at this hotel. Balcony had a beautiful view and on the weekdays so peaceful and quiet. The birds and cicadas are the only noises as you look out across the lake. Bistro is amazing, food was a 10/10. Breakfast & dinner were both good. Staff was very helpful when we needed them as well.”

“Beautiful building like a page out of a story book !! The rooms are large there are some people that live here that are homeless as I did for a while. Everybody you meet his story and it’s really nice ! It’s conveniently located in new Braunfels, Texas , shops, restaurants everywhere it’s a beautiful building, and it needs to be preserved!!”

“We have made several trips to New Braunfels and have experienced many great B&B's but Sophie's Gasthaus has been by far our favorite! You look at the website and are impressed with what you see, then you show up and the reality beats out your initial expectations! The pool is a nice touch for a hot day, fresh flowers, plenty of amenities and other unexpected little touches add to the notion that the people here really care about making this place exceptional! Thank you!”
