“I am 58 years old and have had animals my entire life, and I can honestly say this is by far the best veterinarian “Dr Gonzalez” I have ever been to. I have a very sick cat who I truly believed I was going to have to put down, but my vet is doing everything possible to save him and keep him comfortable, even with the limited funds I have. The entire staff is incredible—from the front desk, to the nurses, to the x-ray tech, and especially the doctor Gonzalez.They are all so caring, compassionate, and amazing with all six of my dogs and cats. I will gladly drive any distance to continue bringing my pets here.”

“Brought 3 of our horses in for annual vaccinations. Setting the appointment was quick and easy (new client), grounds were easy to navigate with our large dually and 40ft horse trailer, facilities were clean and perfect to accommodate our scared equine, staff was easy to work with and very professional. Highly recommend for equine care”

“I love the hospital, dr.montez, and every technician who help oreo with his fear aggression. But I absolutely dislike that Sabrina front desk lady is rude to me and oreo every single time we have interaction with her. She definitely needs some training in customer service. She doesn't need to know how to smile or anything but she sure does need to learn how to talk and not be rude and swear at her hospital clients. I try to be as kind as possible and understanding of her situation. Everyone has their bad days and are dealing with alot of stuff that others wouldn't know. So I try my best to be patient and understanding of her behavior towards me and oreo but she is always rude to us every single time.
Despite all our awful interactions with Sabrina, the hospital and the vets are amazing so I always take oreo here for all his visits!”

“During one of the hardest seasons our family has gone through—losing both our cat and our dog within six months of each other—this clinic was hands down the best veterinary experience we could have asked for.

From the moment we walked in, the staff showed nothing but compassion, patience, and genuine care. They took the time to explain everything, never rushed us, and treated our pets (and us) with so much kindness and respect during an incredibly emotional time.

It was clear that everyone here truly loves what they do and deeply cares about the animals and families they serve. While the circumstances were heartbreaking, we are so grateful we had such an amazing, supportive team by our side.

“I called them early one morning in January shortly after they'd opened because my sweet girl woke with an Emergency and knew they could do what was would be needed and refer me to someplace if it needed more. They got me in really quickly and saw me and my girl with compassion and understanding. The price point was pretty much on par with what I expected to pay and less than I'd pay at an Emergency Vet. They were understanding and handled my 2 calls through the day to ask questions. Sadly after seeing them and hoping what was given and needed to be done would help her out while we waited to see if she'd improve and also try and get her into a doggy Neurologist (per what was shown at the visit), she went downhill and we had to make the call to let her go to her home beyond the Rainbow Bridge as she was suffering and her quality had went from hopeful of improvement to no quality of life at all and I'd say down into the negative.

New Hope got us back in that same day and treated us, again, with compassion and understanding.. we were new clients and first time with them, I was floored by how well they all were and let us have as much time as we needed with her before and after she crossed. A little while after they sent a loving card and upon opening it up I started crying again. They also handled getting her cremated and returning her ashes and everything included I'd requested, with care and love like it was a living animal.

They really impressed me so much with their behavior how they handled me and my late girl from the moment I first called them to when I picked up her ashes. I see why so many people love and adore this clinic now and they really won me over. When I'm ready and get another furry family member I'll be back for sure.

“We have been going to Leander Vet Clinic for almost ten years. They have been there from annual vet checks to the passing of our beloved furry baby. I love that they’re a family owned clinic. You’re not treated as just a number, but like family. The environment is clean, warm, inviting, and adorably decorated. The front staff is warm and attentive. I recently took my shihtzu there for an eye issue and Dr. Morehead was thorough and took the time to explain each step of the examination even drawing out what’s going on a whiteboard. The next day a received a follow up call on bloodwork by a different Dr. who was equally thorough and so nice. Anytime I have ever needed anything for my pets they are right there to help. There is not a better place in the Austin area to take your furry babies!”

My kitties always come out calm and happy, the team here is very kind and gentle with my pets. I have the wellness plan and I think it helps cut down a lot of costs for basic requirements (flea & tick prevention + heartworm), I am beyond happy with how well this location treats me and my animals.
