“Good friendly owner. Helpful to locals too. Kinda tight inside and usual convenience store prices. I have a wide variety of candy, beer and actual real food to cook in the oven or microwave.”

“My parents speak of this store with great reverence. And honestly, post pandemic, I get it. The shelves are overflowing and every type of produce one could want is fresh and available. Also, love their new little home store, it's like Studio McGee went country. There's always an abundance of pro-Texas merch and the prepared meals are solid. Finally, as a certified Crazy Plant Lady, I am borderline offended at how many delightful plants are available any given day at half the price of what I would pay up north. Give me all your bunny ear, paddle and barrel cacti, please, and just don't tell these poor plants they're destined for my office in the frozen tundra of Chicago.”

“The mutton here is excellent, really tender and similar to what we used to enjoy in India. Their restaurant serves up some decent dosas, samosas, and more. The grocery section is pretty solid, too. Overall, it's a solid choice for shopping for Indian groceries.”

“I visited the store on Hero Way last week after a visit with a friend who lives nearby. I wanted to pick up something for dinner and some light bulbs for my front porch.I was originally reluctant because of what most of the other Dollar Generals I have visited have been like, as far as being able to shop comfortably. (I don't have the best balance anymore.)I am new to this kind of social media thing and I'm reading all these negative comments that were posted (quite a while back), and my experience there was much the opposite. I've never seen a Dollar General where it's obvious the employees truly care about the condition of their store. The aisles were clear, and aside from the occasional item out of place, the shelves were stocked and I had very little trouble finding what I wanted. Two employees helped me while I was there and they were both very knowledgeable and friendly. Sylvia had great customer service by helping an old man like me. Mandy was available when I had a question and took me right to what I asked for. I didn't realize that she knew so much about lighting! She also recommended a couple of TV dinners for me and they turned out to be pretty good. The next time I'm out in Leander again, I will be sure to stop at this Dollar General before any others. Anyone who avoids going to Dollar General, like I used to, should really try this store because it is so much different than anything else I've ever seen with this company. I appreciate the ladies help and thank you for helping me while I was passing through.”

“I was looking for a specific product and the cashier helped me go through the store to find it and was very personable. The store was much better organized than in the past, and although the location seems a bit older it was very clean inside. The cashier said it was under new management and I think the new management is doing much better than the last one.”

“I think those coming to complain about curbside or gas should take a moment and breathe. Yes, curbside is crowded, especially at peak hours or cold weather conditions. It's also the only place nearby that offers curbside. I don't think they anticipated how popular this feature would become less than 2 years after opening. As for the gas station and things being closed or not clear in/out/one way signs - have you ever been stuck in a one way gas station that has spots open but people can't get through or people don't want to use because their gas tank is on the other side? I do notice that people love to speed through the gas station, but those are the same people that will do that anywhere. I like the drive thru pharmacy, but I do notice that some patrons are very slow...it will always be an issue with drive-thrus. I don't know why people don't have their payments ready, their ID out, or don't know what medication they're picking up or for whom. The speaker can be a little loud and it just blows my mind to hear the reasons for the slow up at the pharmacy. Otherwise, the process is fairly quick to pick up meds that are ready. Remember, your insurance coverage isn't the pharmacy's fault for how much it's going to cost you. As for expired or bad food, I have not experienced this ever. And I have been shopping here since it opened. I've had nothing but pleasant customer service. I think the most "problems" I have had are crowded stores and items low or out of stock right before holiday or cold weather periods. I'm still a fan of this HEB as population grows.”
