“The Bookmark is the westside's hidden treasure. Along with used books in many genres, they sell magazines, audio books, DVDs, and record albums (LPs). There is a large selection of childrens and young adult books, including comics and anime. They have books in Spanish for children and adults and other languages too. They accept donations of all of the above. The Bookmark is staffed by volunteers who sort, price, shelve books and work as cashiers. Stop by and visit soon.”

“A bibliophile's dreamland tucked away in a quiet corner of El Paso with floor to ceiling books and an owner with encyclopedic knowledge of his inventory. He took the time to answer numerous wide-ranging questions and offer many suggestions for other readings. He knew many of the authors personally. 24 of us were studying at UTEP for two weeks; a third of us visited the store. All of us left with at least one gifted book and a deep sense of gratitude for the personal attention and thoughtful recommendations. A unique place, proprietor, and one of the many reasons to fall unexpectedly in love with EP.”

“Lots of interesting books that I’ve never seen. I could feel the history in the books.Something odd happened & a book came flying at me there. Something paranormal for sure.I enjoyed the free coffee & plethora of selection! If I could afford to buy more I would’ve. Prices are reasonable & most of the books are pretty rare. All book worms should stop by.”

“What is the expectation of a bookstore? That it contains an endless plethora of books? That it contains your favorite titles, and some you’ve never heard before? If that is the case, then look no further as this bookstore has everything except a coffee shop and A/C. There are almost endless piles of books beautifully strewn about allowing your eyes to wander about and find something to spark your interest. The books sold are second hand, and of course why wouldn’t you buy a secondhand book-at secondhand prices- after all? The staff are pleasantly kind, helpful, and are all very well read. If you don’t find a book here, you can request a phone call when a copy is brought to the store. All in all, you cannot go wrong with stopping by here if you have a subject you're interested in or are just looking for a new, or old, book to read.”

“You usually know what you're getting with Barnes and Noble. But this store in particular has great speculative fiction and nonfiction. For me, the selections in horror and fantasy are usually fantastic, and philosophy is also notable. They stock the store with interesting titles.”

“Like every college, books are very expensive, but if you don't consider the cost in the review, the people in the bookstore are knowledgeable about how to find you exactly what you need and polite. The book store is located in building C in front of the water fountains. The C is on the top corner of the building, so you can locate it.”
