Had an issue with the self checkout. Pressed for help, the two workers were both behind me busy on their self phones. I loudly asked if they could help.”

11101 US-380, Cross Roads“Super clean mini hospital with an intelligent provider and hard working, experienced LVN. The following is why I came to them in the first place. Had a series of unfortunate events at the previously professional Community Med Center in Crossroads across the street from CVS. We booked a teen/occupational health appointment the day before at Community Med. We walked in as directed for our appointment and the lady hired for the front desk was yelling at someone on the phone saying "Don't say the word retarded! Just stop, ok?!" Turns out it was her kid who was in trouble at school - she told us after hanging up on him. Anyway, we weren't sure what to do and then my phone starts ringing. I had a hard time hearing the person on the other end over the lady yelling but I made out that it was a second call from another staff member at Community Med to come inside even though we already were there. Then a third woman from the back came to help us. She saw my school form and said "Oh we don't do college." I had a tiny feeling she may have been trying to get out of work. So I told her my daughter is a minor. She semi rolled her eyes and took my daughter's occupational health form to the doctor in the back. He then sent her back to me and said he would not see my daughter for her appointment. She said that he said if he signed his part of the occupational health form, he would be endorsing the entire form - previously administered vaccines and all. And that they "don't do titers." I certainly do not know everything. So I asked if I could speak with him myself to clarify as the form had three separate areas to fill out - one for my daughter to put her name and info, one for the provider to measure her height, weight, vision, etc, (and sign off on), and one to insert dates for vaccines given over the past ten years, plus titers. The vaccine area was what he evidently took issue with stating he would be saying he verified -and that he witnessed the administration of- her taking the vaccines. But the vaccine area required the lot number of the vial and dates of administration (some from ten years ago). The helper lady got all para-legal about it with me and I was thinking I am pretty sure a judge would not have expected any provider to witness a vaccine from ten years ago. Nor did the document require his signature for that section. And by the time they all finish explaining why they have to get out of work, they could have seen us and been done with us. Regardless, he refused to come to the front to see me to discuss it further. Then the yelling staff lady and the helper lady both told me to try going to "Concerta" instead. When I let them know Concerta was a medication not a place, they weren't able to give me further info. I happened to notice at this time, there were FIVE staff members sitting around, working I guess. So we left very confused and went to the CVS across the street who had TWO staff members. We saw a super chill, very nice provider who had less education than the provider at Community Med (nurse practitioner vs MD). He understood the form and had no issues with filling out his section. He even had my daughter do little tasks for her health screening. They gave her two vaccines, drew several tubes of blood for titers, full physical. And CVS does not advertise occupational health screenings. But Community Med does - that's why I went to them in the first place. And I'm pretty sure all occupational health screenings include titers, if required, right?? I'm so confused by them. I hope they didn't charge my insurance for the visit. The feeling I got was that this fully staffed facility had personal matters to attend to and were not interested in working or trouble shooting anything. I could be way off base. Having health care providers in my family, I hate to suggest they are lazy or not doing their job. I know how hard they (usually) work. But once my teen said the same thing I was thinking, I felt I should probably write a review. Al”
