“My husband and I were shopping for a sparkling to celebrate a milestone birthday for my Dad. We first went to Costco, and I bought a bottle of sparkling there. To be fair, Costco is not set up for sampling, so when I tasted it at home and hated it, I didn't want to continue to have to buy bottles and taste them just to see if the wine would work. Because we were not wanting to pay premium price for a larger quantity of bottles, having a good selection at a price point was key. We went to Total Wine next. It seemed like they just were trying to hurry past us so they could camp out in other aisles waiting for folks who wanted to spend money on liquor and high dollar items. Every question I asked seemed like we were interrupting more important tasks for them. There was one guy who was restocking who was really helpful and treated us like humans worthy of assistance. Unfortunately, he didn't really have the expertise we needed. Two people told us to come back at 2 pm when they were sampling sparkling wines for New Years, but couldn't guarantee the wine manager would open the two bottles I was interested in. We then went to Specs. We were immediately greeted. The front-of-the-store employee got someone who knew sparkling to talk to us. He spent time and answered our questions. We found a bottle with an interesting back story on the owner of the winery. The wine fit our price point and the story gave us something interesting to tell with our toast for the birthday. Specs has great prices, but where they stood out was their personalized service. Having a corporate sales background, I appreciated that they listened and didn't do the wine snob thing and make us feel bad about not spending a fortune on our choice for a toast. Specs made us feel like our business was valued. I had never been in this location before. My husband and I will be back.”

“Absolutely delicious and effective too! I tried their cocoa bombs, cake popsicles, and recently their gummies and I highly recommend. I don’t think I’ve tried alcoholic baked goods and candy this good before! The atmosphere is amazing, love the seasonal decorations and the owner and her family are the sweetest and most helpful people ever. Definitely will be coming back again and again.”
