“They were very professional and helpful. I appreciate the updates sent via msg about the work done on my car. They fixed it as they told me and It was done 2 days before the expected date.. It looks like new, and they did a great job! The only issue is they broke a small plastic piece in the trunk when they reinstalled what they removed before...and it doesn't look good! But they orderd the replacement part as soon I told them...the service advisor Jake was nice and responsive, and said that this issue will be fixed quickly! So had to go back there to get it fixed . Also I was surprised to see how much it costs to fixe a small thing..I guess these are the rates here in north Austin..fortunately everything is paid off by the insurance!”

“October 2023:A rock hit my windshield and was bad enough I needed to have someone fix it. I contacted State Farm Insurance and they had a list of companies they have a relationship with. I reviewed each of them and all had horrible reviews, and one did not even exist.So I did my own Google Maps search and a whole bunch showed up. I selected three to review and were good, but had a feeling about Austin Mobile Glass (actually Independent Auto Glass). I called and exchanged text messages with information and photos. He said it required a windshield replacement because it already had a 6 inch crack. It turned out they had my windshield in stock and could replace it in two days. It would not be a OEM product so I guess if you prefer it then have them order it for you. The windshield I got looks really good like the original.On a late Saturday afternoon a service guy showed up and had me to park my vehicle behind this van. He was extremely nice and friendly. He calmly removed his shirt and placed on a different one. I asked him if it was a hard to replace the windshield and he said for me yes but him no. He had a sense of humor. The whole job was just about an hour where I just talked and watch him perform his magic. After he was done he calmly took off his work shirt and put back his other one.The cost was not that much and far below my insurance deductible. He said they replace any glass on the vehicle including the door windows, back glass, and sunroofs. I highly recommend them.Service: Auto windshield replacement”

“I've used these folks twice to repair windshield chips. They are fast, friendly, and do good work. If they can get you in, they'll do it while you wait,. Today they were a little backed up, so I left my car with them and walked down to the Chinatown shopping center (a 5 minute walk) to get some tea and wait. They were done in about an hour and half. The repair was easy and cost $55. Just be aware that windshield repair doesn't make the crack or chip go away -- it just fills it in and keeps it from spreading further.”

It was the friendliest, down to earth, easiest (spoke with an actual person immediately, scheduled for the next day and completed within 2 hours!) and most importantly, the most affordable (I paid out of pocket) to get my glass replaced. I asked for and received exactly what I requested and here we are 2 weeks later, and all is still good, it has rained, and I have driven over potholes and everything is fine! Thank you for existing and for NOT( charging exorbitant prices and for NOT making customers wait months!! I had originally reached out to Safelite and even paid for my glass in April and waited first until May then until June then August for the glass to arrive from somewhere far away (another dimestion it seems)...at which point I called and since they kept changing the date I asked for my money back, which was almost twice as much as Armadillo!!! highly recommended should you end up (heavens forbid!) with a tree falling on your car or a break in. I did the research for you and called around so you can just stick with Greg and this business!!!”

“I unfortunately rear-ended a car on the Braker overpass in the rain and damaged the front end of my car. I was referred to Gerber Collision & Glass and another company. The other company had a poor to fair rating, but Gerber had 5 stars, but not many. Well I took a chance with them and I'm so glad I did. They were spectacular from the moment the insurance company contacted them. They set my drop-off appointment and when I arrived, they had me in and out within 5 minutes, including having the rental car company there to pick me up to get the rental. They stayed in contact with me through-out the repairs and it took less than 2 weeks to get my car back. It was the easiest transaction regarding a body repair I've ever done and I've been through a few of them. They were more than polite, professional and kind. Honestly I was kind of in shock at how good they were in today's world where business seem to think they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Big shout out to Anthony and the entire crew. They even cleaned my car both inside and out before returning it. I can't recommend them enough! If you have any doubts, don't. Run don't walk to have your car repaired at the Howard Lane location of Gerber Collision and Glass!”
