Misty's Pet Depot
4500 Walker Blvd, KnoxvilleI have a very hyper standard poodle that needs grooming every few months. They've always been able to handle him, and his groomings look/ smell fantastic.Prior to this dog, I had another standard poodle, Buddy, that was a gentle giant. The last time I took him for a grooming he was pitiful. He was 15 years old and had trouble waking due to arthritis. Jimmy, (my favorite groomer) was so tender with him. He even carried my 75 lb baby boy to the car! ? That was an act of kindness I'll never forget!((RIP my sweet Buddy))I've used Misty's pet depot for years, going back to their previous location by target. Each time, I've felt as though they truly care for my pet, just as I do.Recently, I learned that they also offer boarding. This will be a Huge help to us during our next vacation! I'm excited to know there's a place I trust to keep my dog while I'm away.I'll typically find a new toy to buy in their shop as a reward for my dog after his grooming. But, they also have food, beds, leashes, collars, and other items for misc other pets. The shop seems to be a bit pricey compared to Walmart, petsmart, Rural King, etc. However, I'm happy to know I don't have to depend on the big box stores for my supplies. There's a good feeling when to know I'm supporting a small mom-&-pop store.

A Dog's Life and Kitty Too
1310 Hollywood Rd, KnoxvilleWe just had our very big and fluffy cat groomed here. He was long overdue for a lion cut and we have tried ourselves to keep him from getting mats, but like most cats he doesn't like his tummy or back legs touched and brushing only goes so far. Do you know how hard it is to find places willing to groom cats? He was just picked up with a beautiful cut, but I was floored when my husband told me they said he was so good for them and that he even did his air biscuits. And that's why you leave it to the professionals. We will definitely be back and appreciate y'all being good to our Stormy boy!

Pet Care
Lovell Animal Hospital
1305 Lovell Rd, KnoxvilleThis place is incredible!! I would rate them a 10 star if I could. They saved the life of my German Shepherd, Rogue. When I first brought him in, he was running a fever. His infected elbow wounds were killing him. I brought him two to three times per week to get his wounds cleaned and wrapped. His elbows were infected with E. coli staph, and two other bacteria. It took two culture studies to find the right antibiotic to cure his wounds. Laser therapy also contributed to his healing. I had taken Rogue to two other Veterinarians who told me that there was nothing that could be done. I was not ready to put Rogue down. I am so thankful to Dr. Sherry Mellskog who took on the challenge of healing Rogue. Rogue is an aggressive dog and Dr. Sherry found ways to work with him in order to treat his wounds. When she could not be there, Dr. Cooper and Dr. McEnroe saw Rogue and contributed their expertise. They all contributed to Rogue's healing including the Veterinarian Technicians---Jenn, Brooke, Ashian, and Savannah. The office staff also helped Rogue in scheduling his appointments---Tara, Helen, Lynn, and Ashian. I have been to three different Veterinarian Hospitals and this one is the Best! I drive one hour and 40 to 50 minutes to get there. The quality of treatment is worth it! The environment is kind and friendly and they make you feel that your pet is special! I will forever be grateful and thankful to Dr. Sherry's medical treatment that saved Rogue's life! I highly recommend Lovell Animal Hospital!!!

However, he could not hold food or water down so I brought him in today. The staff was nothing but kind, professional, and informative. Even though my cat was screaming bloody murder. They still did everything they could and more. I’ve brought him to other clinics in the past and most places treat him like a cat they don’t want to deal with. Not this place. I truly appreciate the entire staff for everything! I would highly recommend this place over and over.

Cedar Bluff Animal Clinic
9049 Middlebrook Pike, KnoxvilleI just moved to the area and was nervous about having to find a new vet for my 2 cats. Booked an appointment with Cedar Bluff and was very impressed. The staff are amazing and made me feel like they really care about my boy’s wellbeing. Also really appreciated that they did everything in the room and didn’t take them to the back for service. The prices were also incredibly reasonable. Did 2 annual exams and got vaccines and it was a little over $300. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I look forward to working with them in the future.

Admiral Veterinary Hospital
204 Watt Rd, KnoxvilleBest vets around, hands down - they really care about your pet and listen to you when you have questions, as well as help explain things so you can make the best decisions possible for your family member. I wouldn't hesitate to see any of the 3 veterinarians at Admiral, but have to really also give extra over the top recognition to Dr. Stephanie Hickey, who has made a point to always try to fit in our high maintenance rescue dogs or my accident prone dobe pack anytime we truly need help - even when they're slammed.
There's a reason I drive well over an hour from my home to their door when I need a vet (and as a professional trainer and longtime rescuer, I'm picky, lol)!! Give them a call - you won't be sorry you did!!

I HIGHLY recommend this office.

PetWellClinic - Emory Rd
713 E Emory Rd #104, KnoxvilleCame in with our newly adopted dog due to aggressive bloody diarrhea. Our regular vet was closed. I am so glad we came to Pet Well Clinic in Powell. Not only was each staff member attentive, professional and kind, but they are clearly well organized. Since my dog had a threat of Parvo, they took every precaution to keep the clinic safe but still treated my dog with an abundance of tenderness. I witnessed the same for all other animals in the clinic. They ran all the tests and the vet patiently walked me through all the results. The prices were extremely reasonable and they let you know the costs upfront. This area is very lucky to have such an amazing clinic that is open 7 days a week.

PetWellClinic - Randolph Street
308 Randolph St, KnoxvilleI came here after my vet located on Clinch Ave. in downtown felt my cat’s needs were not “important” enough to squeeze him in for the next 2.5 days, even after suffering through a horrible and very expensive surgery in the same vein as why I was calling—bad urine, life-threatening in his case. The girl who answered the phone was clearly unaware of what her job entitled. Whatever. Their loss, my gain. I loaded Ed into the car, drove the two minutes to the local PetWellClinic, he was seen IMMEDIATELY BY THE KINDEST PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CARED about my pet and my fear for his well-being and all I can say is: thank goodness that awful woman on the phone was just that. Sometimes the worst turns out the best and I have gleefully had all of my cats records transferred to PetWellClinic and won’t look back. Kind, welcoming, human souls working in an environment where not only my pets but I MATTER. THANK YOU, everyone at PetWellClinic!

The Dog Wizard Knoxville
11904 Kingston Pike, KnoxvilleAfter a neighbor recommended The Dog Wizard, we engaged them for private training for Julie, our 12-month-old mini goldendoodle. We thought Julie needed obedience training reinforcement, as she previously had boarding & training elsewhere. However, we - the humans - were the ones that needed it the most. After 5 lessons with Beth, our behavior, Julie's behavior, and our interactions dramatically improved! It was a game changer. People say she is like a different dog. Perhaps so, but we are also changed dog owners and can now take full pleasure in being with her. We highly recommend The Dog Wizard and a huge thank you to Beth!

10629 Lexington Dr, KnoxvilleVivi loves it here. We love it hear. Cage free. The dogs can walk outside on their own. It is like a deck surrounded by a privacy fence. They get to play inside and out. This place is spotless. There is always someone cleaning and keeping an eye on the dogs. They are divided by size. Vivi is in minor leave. She does get to play with other dogs so this is a great and safe place for her to play. She has stayed up to two weeks before when mommy had surgery and went to a place for intensive physical therapy. She is always tired when she comes home, which is a good thing. She loves to play. They are on Facebook and take pictures and videos on Facebook so that you can see your baby and know they are happy. Vivi wants to hug all the employees. I need to take her back and let her play again soon. I cannot imagine taking Vivi anywhere else.

5923 Kingston Pike #152, KnoxvilleI have used many cat sitters over the years - kids from the neighborhood, private individuals, and other franchised pet care providers - but my experience with Waggy Tails the week of March 11th was by far the best. Camille is such a naturally compassionate person - I really enjoyed getting to know her and felt that she bonded with my two senior cats right away. They usually seem like they are starved for attention after I've been away, but this time when I walked in the cats looked up like, "oh, it's you." and then went back to what they were doing. Ultimate compliment!

Dream Katcher Lodge
11253 Kingston Pike, KnoxvilleI had to board my 2 senior dogs for a long weekend. Both require medication every 12 hours, and for one of my dogs, it is critical that her meds are given on schedule. It is hard to find a kennel that will administer meds for my dog's medical condition, but Dream Katcher Lodge will. The staff at Dream Katcher Lodge are excellent. They were very attentive to my dogs' special needs. Also, it snowed while my dogs were there, and I was very concerned about someone getting to the lodge for the morning medication doses. Three of the staff members actually spent the night there to make sure all the animals in their care were taken care of. They definitely went above and beyond, and I am so grateful to them. I highly recommend DKL and would not hesitate to use them again.
