“Husband and I went stayed just one night for a little get away. I am not the biggest fan of hotels. I'd much rather stay in an AirBNB. However this hotel was nice, clean, friendly, and so we're other guest we seen in passing. Alot of times hotels reek of marijuana and very loud guest. There was a young softball traveling team there and it was still pleasant. We never heard guest running the halls or being loud. We would definitely stay here again. They also had great choices available for breakfast.”

“Tenea was our checkin receptionist and we are now sold on this hotel. She was very polite, professional and compassionate from reserving room to checkout. Matter fact we were here to give our son (who is a freshmen at Citadel) a place to sleep. Has been difficult first two weeks. Tenea allowed us to stay until he had to be back on campus. This hotel is a family friendly hotel. We will be staying here going forward. Thank you Tenea!

“What a great hotel and a great stay! After a diverted flight and arriving 8 hours past when I was scheduled, I was greeted by the kindest front desk employee. Tia helped calm me down and really changed my day around. Then, for the rest of my stay, I had the absolute pleasure of interacting with Tiffany at the front desk as well as the lovely ladies working the breakfast (I regret not getting their names but everyone had a heartfelt good morning and were always willing to help with anything). Honestly, life can be hard and people can be cruel, but it really made me feel good staying here—such a pleasant and sweet vibe. The rooms were nice, big, and clean. The pool is small but I had it to myself most days so it wasn’t bad. Also, it’s really cool that there’s a coliseum arts center right behind with a ton of great performers! Really neat little hotel with the most on point staff.”

“Rooms do NOT have an ice bucket or drinking cups. No coffee maker. Our shower only trickled but they got a service person up to replace the shower head right away. Nice fellow who fixed the problem.Nearby activities: Across the street from the North Charleston coliseum”

“Hotel is in a great location right across the street from the outlets and near restaurants. Rooms were spacious and housekeeping staff was great! Front desk staff was very accommodating. Hotel DESPERATELY needs a power wash. Looking out of our room window was filled with wasp nests. Restaurant located downstairs was not great nor was their service. I would more than likely stay here again...”

The lady that worked overnight was awesome and catered to us getting there late at night and having to park a truck and trailer with a completely full parking lot! Next time we are in Charleston we will stay here again!”

“The hotel itself is amazing. Great location. Front desk is always awesome. But the beds aren't the best. Nor the heat system. I've stayed in 3 rooms this year alone, and I always had an issue with the bed and unit in the room. I probably won't stay at this particular hotel ever again.”

“I LOVE THIS CANDLEWOOD!!!! I stay in hotels weekly for work and travell across the state.... this is byfar one of the best I have stayed at. The rooms are always perfect and fixed immediately if not. The housekeeping staff here are so sweet and make sure you are stocked without asking. The front desk staff is the most welcoming faces every time. I'm greeted like family every stay. The management.... the management.... I'm telling yall, they are AMAXING!!!! THEY KEEP ME CALLING THIS MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME. MICHAEL AND LIANNA ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! (Ps... I had worked hotels for almost 20 years..... I have never seen such a good flow and family environment in any I worked at... staying here brings my standards for customer service very high... no one compairs.)”
“Nice hotel I recommend wasn't too happy with pool conditions when I tried to go in filled with bugs and buds from trees waited half hour for someone to clean by then I was too hot to wait any longer went to my room great supper and breakfast was provided by hotel thanks for that”

“Don't let the surrounding area deter you from booking. This place was fantastic. Wouldn't change anything. Close to lot's of different places.The lounge was so old school and drinks were good. The only complaint about the lounge, was bartender was to busy hanging with friends and regulars that they kind of forgot that people that were staying there would like drink refills.Rooms: Clean and comfortable”
