“Amazing store. The United States should introduce more stores like this throughout the nation. It's more of a community store versus the big grocery store, which I enjoy. Living in Germany, I would love doing my grocery shopping here regularly.”

8780A Rivers Ave Suite 101, North Charleston“Very friendly and helpful im handicapped and sometimes i need a little help .they always offer help when they see me slowing down ..there Deli and hot food is one of the best and very reasonably priced .they have the best fried chicken lg not the bantam size you see most places .not all batter either just big plump chicken the way it should be not over seasoned or salty.they have a seafood special on Friday and saturday . 4 big whole fish,a lot of shrimp , oysters I believe, and another, along with the fixings .enough for at least 4 or more for around $27. ...the flowers are always fresh, beautiful. bunches or arrangements. Good fresh produce a lot local .they have a fresh fish section that's fresh and mainly local depending on whats running during season as to what they have its very popular and a lot of time especially Friday and Saturday they run out of the nice local catches. The rest of the meats are fresh cut and most a little less than Publix or Harris Teeter.a good variety of goods inc some southern favorites .only draw back ive found is on a few items they were out of date so check dates. Thats why i only gave the 4 stars instead of 5 stars ..Theres plenty of parking and easy access for handicap .they bag and take to car and load the groceries for you . They take checks, bank cards inc debit.. cash of course and food stamps ...
Overall a pretty good place to shop or just to stop by and go to deli for lunch or dinner or get togethers..?”
“The workers are very nice [most of them.]They actually put the groceries in the correct way and very friendly to chat with while paying [sometimes.] (Dont chat for very long there is a line btw)”
“My wife and I like this grocery store. It has a fairly good selection and really good prices. Sometimes we can't find a few of the main brands we usually get, but Aldi normally has a similar brand or generic. That's my only complaint. Everything else is good. Go there for the prices.”
“Love going to any military commissary. Just wish we had one closer to home. CAFB is the closest at 3-1/2 hours away, but we don't mind so much. We love visiting Charleston.”

8409 Dorchester Rd Ste 104, North Charleston“Friendly staff and the store is always very clean. I order regularly from Instacart for pickup and they almost always have my order ready ahead of schedule. I have had a couple negative moments with the store but considering how much I shop here, that's bound to happen on occasion. Overall great experience.”
“It's always very clean they have everything you need. Lots of ice cream and cakes already pre-made You can order them if you order early in the week. Never a disappointment there.”
“It's in north Charleston, so there's that; but the floor was clean, the employees were nice, and the bathroom looked clean. About all you can ask for.”
“Love the people who own this store! Super friendly, great prices, cheaper than the one by Walmart. While I'm getting ready to move, the lady who owns the store has saved several boxes for me. I have appreciated them and their kindness!”
“Nice place. The negative review below sounds like the costumer needs to learn boundaries. The business has clearly listed their hours of operation. Good spot. Good food good prices”

1073 E Montague Ave, North Charleston“You may not want to order food here because of atmosphere. Very old and run down inside but the service and kindness along with a very fresh homemade Chicken salad sandwich was worth it! I was visiting Charleston with my hubby and dog and wanted something quick to take on a picnic. Enjoying the beautiful day. My husband had the roast beef. It was very fresh as well. Plenty of chips and soda selection. A great place for a quick delicious meal!”

6554 Rivers Ave ste c, North Charleston“Every time I visit a new city and I'm driving through their neighborhoods, I make an effort to spot different cultural shops, stores or restaurants and this little Mexican Carniceria was quite surprising. I was expecting to find your typical taqueria in the back of the store, but I was excited to find that they also sold raspados!I was super excited because ever since I moved out of LA and to Atlanta, I have not been able to have a raspado in many years. It was really good and it reminded me of home, but I was a bit disappointed when they didn't have any vanilla flavor and had to get a half coco and half strawberry. They also provided the "La Lechera" brown drizzle instead of the original "Carnation" white condensed milk, but in all, it was good.Lastly, I did order a chicharron quesadilla, but the chicharron was a bit soft, instead of crispy, but overall it had a good flavor and it was huge! So I highly suggested come with an empty stomach.”
“I did all my Thanksgiving grocery shopping and when I got home I realized I forgot celery- I I had to run back out, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the Save a Lot on Durant and Rivers is under new ownership- and is now spotlessly clean and everybody is very pleasant - produce looks good too! If you forgot a staple item- easy peasy-hassle free shopping! Happy Thanksgiving all!”
“***Hidden Gem***Having traveled to 24 countries, I’m quite familiar with a variety of foreign cultures. If you’re in North Charleston, looking for truly authentic Mexican food - don’t miss this spot.$3 Tacos that will erupt your taste buds! The giant burritos are out of this world amazing and are around $10-12.Highly recommend!”
“S & L Supermarket on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston is a convenient stop to make for food and drinks when you are in the area. The staff here is very friendly and available to help when you need it. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here and have been happy with all of my purchases.”

1910 E Montague Ave # A, North Charleston“Coming here for years and their prices are unbeatable for a cornerstore. Also they just opened up a liquor store in the same spot a few doors down!!! Great prices there too!”
“Conveniently located. The store itself tends too be unorganized and cramped, but mostly due to patrons who make it that way. All of the staff are friendly, diligent, helpful and hard working-- no one is ever just sitting around.”
“Dollar General is a typical discount store, but it saved the day for me. I co-hosted a political event nearby and needed helium balloons. My go-to for this is normally a grocery store, but I didn't know this area and was short on time. Admittedly, I don't usually shop at Dollar General, but this was the closest store to the Iron Workers 848 Union Hall, so I tried it. The Gen-Z workers inside were patient with a frantic millennial organizer who needed balloons. They have helium balloons for only $1.50 each, blown up. I purchased a couple of blue and silver balloons shaped like stars. The staff quickly inflated them, checked me out, and I was on my way. My only recommendation for customers is to be careful not to miss the entrance, as I had to park in the lot next door and walk over.”
“Went to dollar general today and the cashier Haydee was very helpful and nice. But sadly when the store manager came in and we asked a question she was not so polite. She has a very bad attitude and is very disrespectful. The cashier Haydee was so wonderful that she has more potential to be a good manager than the store manager who has the colored hair!!!!”
“This is a great little coffee shop/market. You can bring your laptop and work, while enjoying breakfast or lunch. There are so many wonderful local goods here. Great coffee, pastries and food!”
