“I found out about Pet Wants from a friend, who told me how they have their own dog food made. I was interested in finding a good kibble for my 4 month old Black Goldendoodle puppy Chance. I called them up and they told me all about their food and asked about my dog and recommended food choices. I was told to come visit them and to pick up a sample of their food to see if Chance liked it. I made my way to their store with Chance in hand and was greeted very warmly. They loved on Chance and even let him sniff around and pick out his turkey foot that he just loved to chew on.He loved the food and a week later I bought some. We slowly transitioned him to their food from what he was currently on. He was doing ok on it until the day came that he received their food for his first full meal. He started to get an upset stomach and by the next day had a very smelly accident in his crate, which he never had before.I reached out to Pet Wants and Bree responded within the hour. She asked some questions about what was going on and then advised me to give him a little pumpkin, which helped. The next day I called Bree and we talked through what may be causing the issue. She was so genuine and cared so much, investing time, knowledge and energy into my pup. She then brought a new food option and a probiotic for his stomach to my house. “We were in Greenville for vacation and walked at Unity Park and came upon this gem. After walking by at least once a day I went to turn one night without going that way and my dog began carrying on and jumping up on me before I realized what he was trying to tell me. He wanted to go by and say hi to the dogs that always greeted him from the other side of the fence. So we did. Lol. We also took advantage of the self bath area we saw inside when walking by. Great set up and great staff.”
“Amazing local fish shop! I definitely recommend supporting their business compared to purchasing fish at a chain pet store.Their fish are well taken care of and the owner is very knowledgeable and kind. I have gotten two betta fish from them for my two tanks, and I plan on getting snails eventually and more fish from them in the future when I am able to set up more tanks.”
“I have a number of Snoozer Products, 3 Console car seats in 2 sizes and 2 styles, a large Lookout and a small Lookout, and 3 Cozy Caves. My dogs like the Lookouts, but I have to put soft blankets in them because the Sherpa is polyester and rather uncomfortable for them (they are small dogs, a 8lbs. Maltese mix and a 12 lbs. Yorkie-Pomeranian). They like the Cozy Caves at first, but then, they leave them for a cushion that is made of a softer fabric. I would definitely buy any of their products, except the Lookouts and Cozy Caves inside material is too scratchy for my dogs (yes, they sleep in my bed with me on Frette sheets),”

“I have been doing rescues for years. I currently have 6. Phyllis was the original owner whom I had the pleasure of knowing since the 80's. Phyllis always was awesome with my babies. After Phyllis passed away a couple years ago Lindsay who is now the current owner, worked with Phyllis for sometime and has always been loving and caring with my babies. My babies go every week so the knowledge I have is not just every once in awhile but weekly. I currently have a Lab/Chow who is almost 17 and needs special care and Lindsay always meets his needs. I never worry about my babies because I know they are in good hands.”

“This store has a good variety of fish and the tanks are clean and well cared for. The prices are reasonable and they have several options for tanks and supplies. If you need information about fish or setting up a tank then ask for Garrett. He was so polite and extremely knowledgeable with the fish varieties. They also carry other pet supplies and from just browsing around the store they have a large variety of foods and supplies at reasonable prices. Definitely will return here for my pet supplies.”
“Very friendly and helpful owners on-site! They give great advice and have a genuine love for/appreciation of our feathered friends. There are some unique items here, too, like the cylindrical birdseed cake that fits perfectly in the similarly-shaped feeder. Our birds really loved that (the dried mealworms attract a lot of woodpeckers!) I'm happy to support this small business!”
“Just over a week ago I posted a review about my pets "Lookout car seat Black Diamond". My review was somewhat negative because the seat seemed to be breaking down within the first year. I had emailed Snoozer about my disappointment. Within that week I heard from customer service representative Erika and by the end of the that week she had assured me a new foam seat was on the way. In hindsight, I should have waited. Erika emailed me daily to let me know that my replacement order was placed and it was covered by my warranty. I'm very impressed with their customer service representative Erika and I'm confident my new replacement seat will be here soon. My rating went back to five stars. My dog has never been happier to go for a ride in the car.”

I quickly found that paws and claws had a location right next to Leo’s vet and made an appointment asap. Leo was very nervous at first from a previous experience with an entirely different company. He warmed up very well in this environment and the staff were all very welcoming and knowledgeable about him. When I picked him up he looked the best he ever had. Crystal did an AMAZING job, she listened to all of my concerns and was very attentive and spot on with what we were looking for. I love that this establishment also offers treats and toys as we always buy a little snack before we leave. I also really love that they have snacks that are ingredient conscious as my previous dog was diabetic and I really pay attention to sugar. Super easy and convenient to rebook at pickup. We had the best experience and LOVE them! Highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Update: Sam was kind enough to contact me in response to this review. She was extremely apologetic. The messages were never given to her. Our dog enjoyed his time there and I was glad to hear they are always trying to make parents happy while providing a safe environment for the “children”. I genuinely appreciate the contact by Sam even though we have not used the facility since August.My dog developed kennel cough in August 2023. After hearing about other problems at this facility and no response from my calls and emails, I feel it is important for others to know of the service we received. I contacted Astro after our vet visit to let them know of the diagnosis. We were enrolled in the monthly play pass, which had just renewed 3 days prior. I was told that the other "parents" would be notified. I asked if I would be credited/month would be prorated, and they said yes. I never received a refund. I called two more times still saying that I would receive a credit and a manager would call me. I sent a few emails to which no one responded. Had they of handled this differently, he would still be going there. It is a blessing that he is not based on other customer experiences that I have recently come across. I too, would pick him up and he would smell like urine on many occasions. After the bath that was included in the package, he would still be wet and not brushed or nails done. I do take him for professional grooming every six weeks and did not expect the same level from Astro but did expect the services included. I do understand that there are things out of their control, HOWEVER, communication is a part of being in the service industry and within your control as well as proper sanitation. I understand that finding reliable employees can be difficult. I will agree to other comments that some of the staff were very happy during pick up and drop off...many others seemed to be inconvenienced by the job at hand.It was convenient! I could drop him off on the way to work and pick him up on the way home. Fortunately, our dog did not become extremely ill and recovered quickly. How this situation was handled, not the illness, caused Astro to lose a monthly play pass customer!”
“Daughter won 2 goldfish from the fair so we had to get our old tank set up. We wanted to get at least 2 additional fish but wasn't knowledgeable about what other fish were compatible with goldfish. We were helped by a gentleman in the fish area. He was absolutely fantastic and the customer service was out of this world. He not only let us know what fish were compatible but he also gave us information on goldfish. We needed to get some additional items for our filter and he stayed to help. The cashier and another worker in the fish area were nice as well. We left with more knowledge than we had before and overall in a good mood. Will return to PetCo.”
“I was looking for a break-away collar (or easy release) for a dog. The store doesn't carry them so I ended up with one for a fat cat. It worked for our beagle. It is a requirement of the kennel where he is going to staying for a night.”
“Had my small dachshund mix doggie washed, brushed, nails done, ears cleaned, etc. The cost was around $30 for all of that, AND the ladies that work there in grooming were so kind and helpful! I was anxious to leave my doggie and they helped me feel more.calm about it.”

“I almost gave this place a 1 star.. until I met Chris… he seemed busy.. but because I guess he saw the confused look on my face trying to find my future pet he stopped to talk to us! He was very informative.. there was another guy there that was bigger and he was rude and standoffish.. he didn’t want to help me with anything.. and even directed me rudely down the wrong aisle for something I was looking for… Chris was walking by an aisle I was in after a second store personal quickly assisted me to an aisle and left us.. and Chris stopped and took the time to answer and educate us on the animals in that aisle! I was so grateful! GIVE CHRIS A RAISE!”
