1998 Riviera Dr, Mt Pleasant“This is a very pretty area in Mt. Pleasant! As far as the room goes, the kitchen/dining area were a little cramped for two people, but we made it work. The bed was comfortable, but we found old mold stains on the pillowcases. An incredible housekeeper immediately threw those in the trash and replaced them for us. They did an amazing job keeping things clean. We enjoyed the free breakfast every morning, and for the most part, it was pretty good with many side options. There are also many shopping/food/coffee places within short walking distance. I recommend the Owlbear cafe for lunch. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that another person staying in the hotel was randomly attacked by another person in the hotel's dog and had to go to the hospital. It made us a tad bit nervous when encountering any other dogs in the halls. As this is a dog friendly hotel, that's something to keep in mind if you have small children.”
“Excellent location! Beachfront. You can watch the sunrise from the balcony in most units. Private pier. Private beach access. 2 minute walk to great restaurants and shops. Laundromat on premises. We were on the 3rd floor and entire property was very quiet. Our unit (322) was a little outdated, but a good deal for the price. The only reason this property doesn't get 5 stars is there is NO elevator in any building. Steps are quite fun carrying luggage up and down, but as long a you pack light it shouldn't be an issue. Was not an issue for us, but may be for elderly and small children. One advisement: 1st floor units cannot see the beach. So if you want to see the beach from your balcony 3rd floor is best.”
