“JILL & DAVE FOR PRESIDENT!The facility is clean & well-kept. Same with the equipment I rented (a 10-foot truck plus an auto transporter).That's all just standard stuff you expect from a company like U-Haul.What set this experience apart for me, however, is the incredible staff.I had to pleasure of working with Jill, Dave, & Charles.All three were extremely friendly, warm, & helpful. They each, in their own ways, went above & beyond to help me during this pick-up.Jill & Dave especially need to be recognized.Jill is very good about explaining, in plain English, what to expect, how to avoid late fees, what I must do as the customer, what they must do as a company, etc. She broke it all down for me neatly & clearly.As a bonus, Jill is quite funny, too.I had never loaded a vehicle onto a transporter before. Had no clue what I was doing.The company tells employees they cannot load your vehicle for you (for liability reasons). I get that.Jill & Dave talked me & walked me through the process, step by step. They directed me as I drove my car up the ramps. It was raining that day & my rear-wheel drive tires were spinning at the top part of the ramp.Dave was quick to grab a couple of moving blankets to lay down as traction for my rear wheels.Worked perfectly!My car has a very low profile. My front bumper was going to be damaged by the front of the ramp but Jill found some pieces of plywood to use as blocks.Once again, worked perfectly!Jill & Dave make a superb team. They enjoy what they do & they are both very good at what they do.They took care of me from start to finish - I would have been at a complete loss without their help.Future customers - if you are going to rent from the Heckle Blvd location make sure you schedule your appointment during a time when Jill & Dave will be there, trust me on this! They work morning shifts, FYI.U-Haul - I have been using you for years & will continue to do so.Area for improvement: I made my reservation, in person, at a different location than Heckle Blvd. The gentleman was very helpful. However, he said that whichever location I end up picking up my rental, the workers there will have blocks/wood to help me load my low-profile vehicle & whichever location I drop off at, the workers there will also have blocks/wood to help me unload.This simply was not true. I just lucked out with Jill & Dave being so helpful & happening to have wood that they gave me to keep.”

Things I’d assume most would know, but she was very professional. My drop off was easier than ever before. “My brother recently moved and spent most of his day driving from one U-Haul store to another after the original U-Haul did not have the truck he reserved. At Penske it took all of 5 minutes to pick up the truck. They were quick and professional. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else in the area”

“Had a great experience here this past Sunday. The woman working the desk got through three customers in about ten minutes and was very helpful with an older gentlemen who couldn’t quite get the hang of the electronic interface. They just moved into this new building and some stuff was giving her issues but she worked through it all in a calm manner. Would recommend this place for uhaul rentals for sure.”

“It’s never fun being broke down and i see a lot of driver’s frustrations make it in these reviews. But I feel compelled to write a few words of praise for the night crew here at this location.I’m here because my main air line developed a leak because of abrasions and fraying of the jacket. It’s so rare that it’s a mystery as to how it occurred. That being said, the technician assigned to my truck should be publicly recognized in front of his peers for his professionalism, knowledge, thoroughness and patience in answering every question I had. Seriously, If I had the choice of only one person touching my truck it would be him.It is rare to find these qualities in employees these days. And when you get this lucky you should do everything in your power to promote and retain such talent. But wait, there’s more.There are two more that also deserve to be recognized. They were sitting behind the counter when I walked in to inquire about the status of my truck. More often than not I am left with the feeling that us drivers are an inconvenience that is tolerated because they have to. But these two were different. I walked out of there feeling like I was their only customer. Not of the night, week, or month. Their only customer ever. I really hate spending money on this current truck but if I had the choice I’d spend it here. Too bad this shop isn’t closer to my home in GA.So in summary, I really hope that the management/owners of this business recognize and do what you must to retain your awesome employees. “I'm giving a 4 because this is better than your average Home Depot. Selection like any HD is massive and you can get even more inventory delivered to the store. Prices for most items are not the cheapest but certain items are actually quite solid for example Round Up while others are gauging like shelf liners. They are always well stocked and never have been out of the item I needed. Most departments (most) I was able to get good help quickly often just from a friendly associate walking by (not the case in places like NY, NJ, CA, south Florida or even Georgia). Cons: One area that we got no help ever was blinds / curtains, etc. the back left side of the store can be a ghost town of employees but everywhere else I always found one easily. selection of connectors for washers, dryers, etc was pretty limited.”
