“One of the few places that were open and serving drinks when I was here in Columbia for the day. Two beers on tap and tables on the street. Nice place to stop for a quick pint.”
“I’ve never stayed in the actual hotel, But the hotel restaurant and cafe is AMAZING. The staff is so nice and the coffees and food are very reasonably priced. Also is a very good place to study for students.”

“We stayed at this hotel due to a family emergency that had us in the ICU for several days. After enduring a disappointing four-day stay at another Hilton brand hotel, we were relieved to move to a newer property. However, the service still fell short of our expectations. During our reservation, we requested two extra pillows for the first night. Unfortunately, when we arrived late and exhausted, the extra pillows were not provided, making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep.
We extended our stay for another night and once again requested the extra pillows. These were delivered late in the evening, just before bed, and my husband didn't inspect them right away. As we began to fall asleep, we noticed a strong mildew odor. Upon turning on the light, we found the pillow covers were wrinkled, appeared used, and had a significant mildew smell.
As repeat Hilton customers, especially during such a stressful time, this was a disappointing experience.”

“The breakfast was nice. There are plenty of hot items to choose from like grits, oatmeal, sausage, waffles, and omelets. The king room we had was very clean and cozy. Definetly will be my first choice to stay when I visit Columbia again.”
“We were transiting our family and moving to a new state and I am so glad we came across this hotel. The staff were personable, the food was good, dinner was served 3 nights a week, and the rooms were clean. Service was impeccable. Dishes are included. It was the perfect stay. Highly recommend this location.”

“Amazing breakfast buffet. Our Basic Training Suite was impressive. All areas were clean and well-appointed. Professional & courteous staff. Beautiful property.”
“Pillows and bed were super comfortable. Nice older building that reminds me of being at grandma's house. Cozy and unique. Can take elevator to Starbucks, don't even have to leave the building. Only downside is the club level lounge, it is super tiny and lacks amenities I am used to. Just booked this hotel for a returning stay in November!”

“The Magnolia suite was nice. Check in was easy and hassle free. Great communication before check in. Nice and quaint. Only issues I had. No fridge in the room so could not keep my drink cold and perhaps some light snacks available in the common area.”

“The hotel itself is kinda off of a side road, you will likely need GPS to make sure you don't miss it. Overall it was a pleasant stay. It was quiet, comfortable, and we paid a little more for a 2 person jacuzzi tub which was absolutely worth it and worked great.”

“Great stay! The hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast provided! I really enjoyed the breakfast. The gentleman who checked me out was kind and so were the two ladies when we checked in. Everyone was helpful.”
“It was our 1st time staying here and we were happy. Charles at the front desk was AWESOME!! Our child had to be at football camp at USC at 7am and thats when breakfast started at the hotel. Charles made him a breakfast bag the night before so he could eat before training camp that morning. ( He made my sons morning). He also was very knowledgeable with the surrounding areas with restaurants and places to go, he had great recommendations!! Thank you Charles, you did AWESOME!!
Now for the other part, the rooms were nice and clean the entire facility was. The breakfast was great except for having to wait for fresh hot food to come out just for clarity (IT WAS NOT THE LADY COOKING IN THE KITCHENS FAULT) she was by herself ( which is fine) the issue was with a guest. When we came down the guest literally had 6 PLATES full of food a full plate of like 20 sausages, full plate of EGGS, a bowl of 4 cinnamon rolls ( you get the point) there were alot of other people there waiting to eat. This guest literally was watching as every time the lady in the kitchen replenished the food she went to get even more plates. She literally did this 5 times this morning and people had to wait. My husband was like I've never seen a woman or anyone eat that much for breakfast not even a man.
I felt horrible for this lady in the kitchen, the guest didn't care about anyone else but herself and I'm sure it's all you can eat but good lord be respectful of others as they pay money to stay there as well.
As we went back to our room to get our things when we came back down to check out, breakfast was over, it was about 10:15 I think and the lady that was in the kitchen was sitting there taking a much needed break. I walked over to her and said I know your tired but just know you did AWESOME being 1 person and handling all that extra cooking by yourself since someone was being extremely selfish and rude. She said thank you. I told her she handled herself with grace and I said THANK VERY MUCH and have a good day. She said thank you.
As we were walking to the car my son's girlfriend said when you walked away she started crying. I said what? She said I think it was tears of tiredness and joy. She was by herself and chances of someone saying Thank you may not happen often and a nice gesture you showed her, she may have appreciated more then we would think
So to the lady who was by herself and handling everything in the kitchen this morning, just know you did a WONDERFUL JOB!!!!
We would stay here again!!!”

“Jalise Janet and Timothy were so kind and friendly. All in all great experience. Breakfast was always delicious and plenty of options. The place could defiantly use some updating you can tell it was build in the 90s but it is a very nice hotel. Was there on a business trip. We were in one of the conference rooms. The provided lunch was delicious both days. The cookies and brownies were warm and yummy. The happy hour with 2 free drinks were a nice end to each day. Easy to get around. The location is close to many great restaurants and activities. Worth the visit.”

“The front counter staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was extremely nice and clean.
They have both regular outlets and also usb outlet plugs.
They have a really nice breakfast/dining area as well with a fairly good selection for breakfast.
They have a Circle K you can walk to right next to the parking lot if you need snacks or other last minute items and necessities.
Rooms: The room was clean, cozy and in great condition. The bathroom is bigger and bright.”

“My wife and I were in Columbia for our grandson’s graduation from boot camp at Ft. Jackson. We stayed three nights. We had a two queen room with accessible roll in shower. This accessible room was quite spacious, plenty of room for my wife to maneuver her power wheelchair. We are fans of the Hampton brand, have stayed with Hampton all over the country. We appreciate Hampton’s consistent clean and comfortable rooms, with a great breakfast included. This location was great. The front desk staff were always helpful and smiling, as were our housekeeping crew. The breakfast area was kept clean and nice. The location is very convenient to I 77, and close to Ft. Jackson and Columbia itself. Many restaurants close by, as is gas, convenience stores, and banking. We would stay again!”
“Service gets 5 stars because is the reason I keep coming back to this hotel in the Vista area. Quay and Deshaun always provide you the best service during my stay. Quay is a rock star and definitely has a future in hotel management. I look forward to my next stay and hoping these two ladies are working the front desk. The rooms get 3 stars because I don’t they do a good job cleaning the rooms and even had sheets on my bed that wasn’t wash. Thanks to Quay she made sure I got cleaned sheets. The location is right next to a Publix and walking distance to restaurants the reason 4 stars.”

“This is honestly one of the better hotels in Columbia hands down regardless of affordable it is. Every one of the staff members are so kind and helpful. It really feels like a home away from home. “I recently stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbia Downtown and overall had a great experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly every interaction came with a smile, which really set the tone for the stay.
The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the full kitchen, which was both functional and beautiful — a real bonus for anyone staying more than a night or two. There was a curtain separating the bed from the sitting area, which I thought was a fantastic feature for a little extra privacy. However, it was a bit worn and had some holes, so it could definitely use replacing.
The bathroom was on the tighter side and the lighting was a bit dim, but it was still nicely designed and clean, so no major complaints there.
One downside was the pool — it was closed during my entire stay. I was told it was being worked on, but I never actually saw anyone there, which was a bit disappointing. The outdoor seating area, on the other hand, was a lovely place to relax with comfortable chairs, couches, and tables. I just wish the fire pit had been lit at least once — it would’ve added a nice touch in the evenings.
Despite a few small hiccups, I would absolutely recommend staying here. Great location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations make this a solid choice in Columbia!”

“The rooms are not updated but the service and care from the employees made up for it. Ms. Addie the GM, Della, Sheila and Anthony made things pleasant in a not so pleasant time. Even the housekeepers and grounds men made sure we had what we needed.”
“Polite and professional staff that was very accommodating to us as Helene refugees. Clean, well appointed room with plenty of space and comfortable bed. In room coffee is surprisingly good and more brewed available in the lobby. If we need a place to stay in Columbia, this will be the first place we call.”
