“A friend and I drove from Columbia to celebrate our birthdays. We were treated royally! The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were amazing. The BLT was probably the best I’ve ever had. The Calamari was the most tender and delicious. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try more!”

“Loved how warm and charming this location is. Very nostalgic. Food was great, service was superb, and there was live music over dinner. Nice bar area to hang out into the night. Went to the estate and tours the main rooms. Will definitely return for another romantic evening.”

“My mother stayed here while she was down for my daughter's graduation. The staff was excellent. They ensured that she had the handicapped room as requested. They even put a shower chair in the bathroom for her use. The staff was friendly when she checked in to the time of checkout. The rooms had been renovated and was very nice. She didn't use the breakfast or the laundry so I can not talk on those amenities.”

“Front desk was friendly (even by Southern standards) but still very efficient. For instance, we were in town to visit friends and family and happened to drive past the hotel, so we stopped in to see if they’d let us check in a few hours early. The agent said our room wasn’t clean yet, but since it wasn’t busy at the front desk, she moved us to another room on the fly so we could drop our bags and “freshen up.””

“I'm sad to report that General Elliott Inn closed its doors in late July 2021. Kay has sold the business and moved to Florida..This has been a favorite place for us for birthday and anniversary celebrations, and excellent wine tasting events, for around ten years. Kay General (and her husband Steve Elliott before his passing) were always gracious and friendly hosts.”

“I enjoyed the place even though they were doing upgrades and construction inside. The bed was very comfortable, room's air conditioning was icy (I love it). The shower and bathroom were excellent. Breakfast was good, but on the level of most Marriott lodging, I have stayed at in the past, also due to the construction. I will definitely keep it on the radar if we pass through that way again.”

“My trip to Aiken was horrible I bought a charger and a cord because I forgot mine and it didn't work and I bought another one from a different gas station it did work I get a hold of my friend finally and we get a room the room was nice staff was nice as well no problems with the hotel room I thought it was exactly what is to be expected from a Days inn. Two thumbs up and a post on the back. A walking up and down the road that it's on every establishment told me to leave that I could not charge my phone there I know I'm talking about something other than the hotel Days inn thank-you. But the people running the stores in Aiken specifically augusta-aiken highway karma is going to get them I know in my heart the universe will not let them get away with being the type of people that they are. Again thank you Days inn you were the only good part of that entire experience.”
