Definitely worth visiting. I stopped here on a long lunch break while I was traveling to work in Aiken. It's a great spot to bring the kids, whether it's a stop on the road to other adventures or your main destination.

If it had cost money, I'd give it two stars. What's the point of having train cars if you can't go in them

Located on the first floor is the interactive Drive-A-Train exhibit, visitor information, and gift shop. The second floor features nine dioramas that depict towns along the original South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company right of way. These dioramas are done in the familiar HO scale and are complimented by interactive displays depicting railroad history. Don’t forget about the historic trolley tour that departs from the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum at 10 am each Saturday. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in person or online by visiting Eventbrite and search for Aiken Trolley Tour.
