“My first experience at a CrossFit gym, but wouldn't ever consider going to any other box. I've just hit the one year mark and cannot believe how fast it has gone by. Coach Phil and Cheryl are some of the nicest and most motivating people I've ever met. I've worked pretty hard and attribute it to their constant push to better myself. All the regulars feel like my closest friends and family at this point. Look forward to many more years here.”

“I've never had a problem here. The lunk alarm is more of a decoration than anything. It has gone off before, but seems to be accidental since there was nothing happening that would've triggered it.There's 2 specific machines that face each other and it's kind of weird to be face to face with a stranger, so maybe turn that specific machine around to face the mirror like the rest of the machines... The women's locker room is always relatively clean. I wouldn't perform surgery in there but I also don't feel grossed out.Black card membership area feels bougie which is nice. I've only tried the massage chair though, my next goal is to figure out the hydromassage. It sounds daunting but I'm sure I can figure it out.”

“Mike is hands down the best I've ever trained with. His workouts are SUPER efficient: so much gets done in each workout! Some trainers I have used in the past seemed like salesmen, and set me up with exercises that were either ineffective or actually caused injury. Mike is the complete opposite. Not only does he customize workouts to meet individual goals, he is amazingly knowledgeable about the human body and can work with any kind of limitation, injury, condition, etc. He's also got the highest level of training and certification in his field (CSCS) - very few trainers are so well educated. I feel so lucky to have found him!! Thank you Mike!!!”

“I’ve been training at ADP with Liz for about a month and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I can truly say that I love going to the gym and I look forward to all of our sessions together. Not only have I learned about fitness, but Liz has also guided me through the nutrition aspect of my health which is important to me. “STF is the best gym I have joined. I have been a member for 15 years. I love Zumba & muscles in motion. There is a full schedule for each month, which includes specialty classes. They have a spin room, an aerobics room, locker rooms, etc. It is very clean & the owners always keep up the gym. There is plenty of parking, which makes it easy to drive up & run in. There is towel service & childcare for those who need it. Ryan makes the best protein shakes. The team & owners are the best ! It is also very affordable. They have other locations in Dartmouth & Bristol. Take my review seriously & start working out at STF.”

“Been going to this gym for a little over a year! Small gym with long hours. Code access makes it easy, great community of people, and friendly to beginners. Great place if you like resistance training/lifting. It’s not corporate owned and a community gym so all the amenities of a corporate gym aren’t there (round the clock cleaning, trainers on demand etc) but the benefits are that even during the busiest hours you can have a peaceful workout cause everyone is willing to work you in, when there is staff you can trust they are knowledgeable and not just trying to peddle training plans. The owners and other trainers are super friendly, I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area!”

“Our daughter goes to JWU, so my husband and I drop in whenever we are visiting her. We always have a great time! We've had classes with both Tanner and Jamie and they are wonderful coaches. The members are super friendly. Our daughter is a member there and loves it as much as our home box. We visit boxes whenever we travel and have seen many. CrossFit Providence is fantastic! “This is my second week. I considered myself in decent shape. This gym has shown me that I have so much more. The classes are intense. I go 3 days a week and find on my off days that I want to go. Josh is great, I do not know a lot of the positions. He is so patient and make me feel like I am doing great and part of the process is learning. He is genuinely a really great guy. I was nervous about being judged… Well at least when I go it’s complete opposite, many have been going for a while and are great at it. They are so motivational and always let me know I’ve done a great job. I never got that from another gym. Even though I’m a newbie no one there has ever made me feel like that at all. I recommend this gym for anyone. I’m still new I know in order to get better I need to do the work.”

On and off for a few years but finally developed some consistency about 2 years ago.While Jonathan's dedication to his craft of PT stands out, it's the environment in the gym that he created (and nowadays his staff maintains) that separates them from others. Everyone there is dedicated to the product and personable to all different types of people and personalities.Personal training sessions are in groups (about 4 people/session). This layout has naturally created a community within the gym. People who I've met for the first time eventually become friendly familiar faces - people who encourage and uplift each other.The staff on top of Personal Training offers a library-like selection of books that a client can check out. These books range anywhere from Expertise in personal fitness to growth in personal financial development, personal spirituality etc. There's a reason why the business is "Best Self" health & fitness - the resources are there to not only grow in fitness but in any facet of personal development you want - encouraging you to discover and grow into the best version of yourself.I've grown a lot the last few years in physical shape, as well as mentally, emotionally and professionally, and I believe meeting Jonathan and his staff -and consistently working on my physical health in this gym - is the root of that growth.If you're in any kind of a rut (physically, mentally etc) I suggest and recommend you give them a call - it will only lead to good things.-AG”
