“My first visit ! My car was diagnosed and I realized the repair wasn’t covered by my warranty. I was undecided how to proceed. So I agreed to continue with the repair. Then I called back and said - don’t repair. I called back again and gave the go ahead to repair. Thru the entire process ( and I was a pain) the staff was pleasant and very understanding. My car was repaired by AMF and it rides beautifully. They even added in a few extra free services for which I am thankful. “As a woman, I felt the need to put a review & I'll tell you why. First, let me make it clear, KX Auto is my only auto shop. I personally will take my car there & feel comfortable. This is for the women who are looking for an auto shop.I've been going to KX since 2018 or 2019, I can't remember. These guys have solid work ethic & provide quality service to my car. They've seen both mine & my husband's car & provide fair pricing. They're the only people I trust with our car now because they've helped me troubleshoot my oil issue & they're the only ones that know what to do. Since then, I'm stuck- love this auto shop.They're thorough, explain everything to me, they'll take pictures & send it to me to show me the issue, they've given me time to make a decision if it's a big fix, I'll even do my research & try to figure out what I'm saying & what I find is that they're honest too & if I have any questions they don't make me feel dumb because I'm a woman-- I've gone to places that have made me feel pretty uncomfortable. They have seen me move through life as a single to married woman. Despite me having my husband, if I dropped off the car they'll call me & provide updates/inquire what I want to do next. I don't know about you, but I want that. I feel respected in this small way that they treat me. I don't feel sterotyped or made out to be not as competent with my car. They'll communicate with me as they do with him. Super professional & I hope they never leave the Philadelphia area or be forced out of business.Parking can be hard because they're located on Washington Ave. There's construction & a new apartment is coming in so I don't know how that'll impact accessibility to them. But, I'm going to keep coming.This is the only auto shop I’d recommend & given other reviews, that means they get booked up & busy. So, if you need something serviced, regularly like an oil change or inspection, I’d schedule it out in advance. If you’re in a bind, they’ll try to work it out & help you.My only concern is that I dont know when these guys go on vacation. Honest concern because I want this auto shop around for a long time. If they scheduled a 2 week vacation I wouldn't be mad & just schedule my services before or after.This is how an auto shop should be. I should've written this years ago!!”

“I took my very old Toyota to the dealership for maintenance and inspection, and was told I needed $3700 worth of repairs and maintenance. Before deciding to just call it quits and buy a new car, I asked Fountain Street for an estimate for those repairs on the recommendation of a friend. They came in over $1400 less than the dealership. Brian was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the shop is busy, so I had to wait a week and a half before they could fit me in.”

“This place has pretty good prices and the service is pretty fast. Originally they ordered the wrong tires for my minivan (they were the correct size but the weong weight rating). I came back the following day and thwy had the correct ones. It took no more than 25 minutes from the time I pulled my van into the bay, to remove all 4 wheels, dismount all tires, install new valve stems, mount and inflate the new tires, balance the new tires, then install on my van. The tires that l ordered were budget brand tires by Cooper. These balanced very well and they drive very nice considering they're budget tires. I'll definitely be giving them my business again in the future”

“I wanted to shout out a local business who helped me in a jam yesterday! On my way to the train station, and subsequently backtracking because the road was blocked off, I ran over a fallen tree branch that got lodged in the undercarriage of my car. I tried getting it out by the side of the road but it was really stuck. I slowly drove, dragging the stick along, to the garage at the top of my street but they didn’t have anyone to help me until 8:45am (it was 7am). I drove the second garage and they were awesome!I am shouting out Hometown Auto for not only getting the branch out (they had to put my car on lifts) but doing it in 10ish minutes. And they didn’t charge me anything. Just did it because it’s good to help people. We go here regularly for our car stuff because they’re efficient and honest. And now because they’re good people.”

I happened to have a Sunday afternoon free so, I called this location and asked if they could do an inspection. I went in at 11:30am and they called me at 4pm to have me pick up my car. Amazing service at a moments notice when I was in need. They were super busy and still managed to squeeze me in on a Sunday. Thank you so much!!”
