Pittsburgh Spay & Vaccine Clinic: Zeglin Amanda DVM
110 Sandy Creek Rd, VeronaMuch cheaper than going to a vet, this is all they do, so it makes sense. Stitches for my girl basically dissolved over time so no return visit was needed. No complications. Talked to friends that went to their vet, they paid double, then had to return to have the stitches removed. I'll use this place for my fur babies as long as they're around.

Pet Sitting & Training
Pinks Tiny Paws LLC
733 Allegheny River Blvd, VeronaThey took excellent care of my senior chihuahua mix Princess. I was so worried because I had never boarded her for very long. Well Princess was in good hands and I was able to see her via text while I was in Greece. I would definitely use Pinks in the future.

Inner Groove Brewing - Verona
751 E Railroad Ave, VeronaWe stopped to check out Inner Groove Brewing right after getting delicious BBQ at Off the Rails down the road. A food truck was just getting set up as we arrived around 3PM, too early to catch the live band that night. If you love all things music, this place is your jam. They spin records while you sip and you can even bring in your own records. This was during the afternoon on an easy going Saturday, so that might be different later in the day. It's nice and spacious with plenty of seating, and the bartenders were friendly. The beers were excellent and the flights came on the coolest record platter! We got a growler of the Freshy Fresh we liked it so much. Can't wait to go back!

Acclamation Brewing
555 Wildwood Ave, VeronaFirst time at Acclimation, I like it. Right on the river, great views.
Has a food menu, but wasn’t hungry so can’t comment on the food.
I had two beers: Lawn Bubble 5% hazy, and an Icebound, listed as a cold IPA at 6.8%.
Both were decent for the hazy style that I prefer.
I will definitely be back. Looking forward to hanging on the deck overlooking the river.

Off the Rails Barbeque and Drafthouse
549 Allegheny River Blvd, VeronaAbsolutely obsessed. Homemade, house-smoked barbeque. The owners and staff are extremely sweet and friendly. They do have indoor and outdoor seating which is super nice in the warmer months. They do close in the one area for additional seating and have heaters so it’s not too cold! The flavor, spices and way the items were prepared with absolutely delicious. The meat melts right in your mouth. Tried the wings- three jumbo smoked whole wings. They are slow cooked & flash fried. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible- slow smoked pork, tossed in a house Carolina cider mop piled on top of a Breadworks bun and Pittsburgh pickles. The brisket is a slow smoked Texas style brisket and we tried that on top of the creamy Mac and cheese. WOW- the brisket was so tender. And of course had to try their corn bread. Which came hot and totally hit the spot.

Humane Animal Rescue Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
6000 Verona Rd, VeronaThe world needs these folks. They took the injured young groundhog we found into their care without hassle. Donations accepted. If there's a paving company out there with some extra time and material, the Rescue driveway needs drainage and paving work.
