“I would have given 5 star but I deducted for attention to detail. Walt at the counter is awesome, genuine an honest shop. I got new tires on my wife’s SUV. They gave me a great price so very happy about that. However I was pretty disappointed that when I picked it up the new tires were filthy and covered in greasy handprints. I also checked my tire pressures when I got home and all 4 tires were different. They ranged from 36 to 53 psi ?. I feel that they could have at least wiped the tires down, I mean who doesn’t love shinny new tires to make your vehicle pop. That extra step will thrill any customer. I’m going back next week for tires on my truck. Hopefully I don’t have to clean my tires and adjust the pressure when I get home.

UPDATE: shortly after posting my review I received a call from Walt to discuss my experience. He was kind and very apologetic, he addressed my concerns with his team. I have 100% confidence this wont be an issue going forward. They care about the customer experience and read their reviews. I’m changing my rating to a 5 star and won’t hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.”

“Came in because first car had mystery issues, John ran tests and found out the source of the problem. Gave me sound advice so got a replacement vehicle, dealership messed up and sold me a vehicle under the guise that it was operational without covering/solving issues with the master cylinder. John and everybody at the shop were extremely helpful and transparent and helped me wage a case against the dealership with the information and pictures they provided of the issues. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. I’ve never had a better experience with an auto shop.”

“So I bought a new (to me) car last week. I expected problems with it but when the cold hit, it came sooner than I thought. My power steering return line was rusted out and spit everywhere. It was an emergency and I needed to get to school for a final.

Ryan is a great dude. Very knowledgeable and understanding about life happening on its own terms, not necessarily mine. He told me to bring the car in. He diagnosed the problem while I was at work, and he had it done in time for me to get to school later that day.

Also before I left, he did a full check up on my car and walked me around the car and showed me where my new purchase is going to need some work in the near future.

In short, my experience was as easy as possible. It was all around a hometown mechanic feel. Just some guys doing their job and trying to do the next right thing for the little guy that works everyday. Reasonable prices. Fast service. And every reason I need to come back.”

“I want to make a comment but not just on the extremely great work done & good Customer Service plus the best quality products & work we receive here always by the team who work here no matter how busy they are because that's how it has always been here. But what I want is to give a heart felt thanks out to "Eddy" who went over & above the average expectations of what is ever the normalcy done for you in giving care/help from any Service Dept or Employee working there. But he had & done so much extra work than could ever had been to be expected of him. Especially so much to help me out with info my Ins.Company suppose to have done but didn't & although I called & they assured me it now would be faxed out for me asap to Kost it wasn't sent by them nor did they contact me back,so why did they lie to me about it ? I'm a wreck now because my husband did all type of Auto stuff for us but since he recently passed away I'm trying to do the best I can with things & I also have my own health issues as many elders do find to be the case & it's very hard & at times overwhelming to suddenly have to handle so much new things without the best help & for me to get my own Ins.Info without an agent willing to help me out by a simple fax sent out as promised boggles my mind so much. Luckily for me though I instead had a great person "ED" who then stepped up & not only handle things so calmly in such a nice manner & did everything he could do in helping me to get all the things done & the info I needed found out so I was able to take a pic myself of it to be sent over to him myself & he was also willing to do a 3 way call to them for me but who could I even call there & trust enough in after they lied to me to get me all of this info faxed to me in time ? 😱 In the end I did it by getting my 1st ever pic taken as Ed told me about got it sent to him at KOST TIRE with all the Ins.Info & they were able to get my car finished up for me on the same day so we just had to go pick it up & not wait even a day or more longer without all his help. I worry how long it could of been if waiting on my own Ins Co.to help out ? I do know it is time for a big change there for sure. I am saying so much here but the thing is I want to point out that "Ed" was making sure It wasn't a big deal or a problem at all & he sure didn't mind helping out at all, but I just couldn't thank him enough for the very fact is for me that I have found out the hard way that more times than not "getting any person to help you out even when they are supposed to & also get paid to do so, this drastically is so NOT what they will do"!😪 So once again I give thanks to you Eddy from my heart & to the others who are also being kind & caring in the helping of others while being kind & caring while in doing so ! “The Manager, I cannot remember his name right now, was absolutely amazing. I came in with a flat tire on Saturday and they were so busy and so short staffed that he could not help me out that day. He genuinely felt terrible that he could not help out. He was kind enough to let me leave my car in the parking lot until my husband could get there the next day. Upon arriving the next day, we were approached by him and told that he absolutely could take us in and patch out tire for us, which is what we wanted because our tires are under warranty. From start to finish, it was about1 hour and we were on our way home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We also had a lot of laughs with the staff. It was just an overall great experience.”

“I had an incredible experience with customer service at Mavis today. We discovered a nail in our tire and noticed the low pressure light was on. Upon arriving at Mavis, we were welcomed by a cheerful young lady who informed us that the repair would take no longer than 30 minutes. Once the service was completed and we went to settle the bill, they surprisingly didn’t charge us, which is honestly quite rare and greatly appreciated. We are now back on the road, safe and sound. I have been getting tires from Kost for over 20 years . I Have checked tire rack for pricing and found they were very comparable. I have visited may Kost tire and this visit was the same . “Honest and fast paced.

My tire had a 1 inch slice in it and unfortunately wouldn’t hold air for more than a few hours, I drove with a flat to the nearest gas station and of course it ruined my tire. They tried to patch it but to safety issues with me driving on the flat they were unable to. They showed and explained to me what happened and I got practically a brand new tire for $40. Win win.”

However, Mavis’s team completed my vehicle in about half an hour, which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, he kindly informed me about the discount coupon for oil change. Overall, I found the service to be highly helpful, professional, and efficient. “First time going here. Brought a car that I just bought 3 weeks prior for inspection. The car was brought in the bay withing 20 minutes of arriving and withing 45 minutes of that it was finished. The Gentlemen there will not hassle you over things your car does not need. I tried to see if he would bite on replacing some parts that I knew I just replaced but he didn't bite. He just gave me my stickers and went on to the next vehicle. If only every shop didnt take advantage of you needing stickers to drive your car legally. 10/10. Great service and Trustworthy.”

“I had blown a tire on my car on the road and I needed a replacement to make it home. I called a few places and they all said that they could only get one for the next day. I finally called Smertz and they said it would take them 1 1/2 hrs to get it and that they could get me in in about 3 hours to replace the tire. It was done and the even charged me a fair price for the tire and the balancing. I was able to get home later that day and make my appointment thanks to the people at Smertz.”

“Woody was very helpful and accommodating. My wife's car needed an inspection and I did not have an appointment. Woody and his mechanics were already busy with other customers and wasn't sure if he could get to it. Woody said he would call if anything came available. About an hour later Woody called and said he would be able to fit in the inspection. During the inspection the mechanics found a bad ball joint and had to be replaced. Woody gave me a quote that was more than reasonable. Woody went above and beyond to make his customers feel like family.
