“I was having my car towed to a shop to have it repaired and the AAA driver who was Towing my car spoke about this store I don't want to pronounce the name because I don't want to mess it up but this Market was everything that the driver said it was and what the driver said was that they had the best sandwiches well I was hungry one day and as I passed the store I decided to make a short left turn park my car and then throw off into that facility oh boy am I glad I did I got an Italian sub sandwich and I have to tell you this homemade sandwich that they put together was just awesome it was so delicious and to add a topping to that they had homemade pastries and I purchase chocolate chip cookies and their peanut butter cookies were to die for why do I say that because I'm a peanut butter cookie crazy woman I love peanut butter cookies so if you're ever in the area stop off at the family store it's a modest Market and they have beautiful fruit also it is well worth the efforts and the husband and wife couple that runs it they are so friendly so kind and attentive they definitely will see me again and probably again and again thank you”

“The crew down at Fat Butcher are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. I often walk in without a set plan and they always come through with great ideas and recommendations. Grateful to have such an amazing business so close. When it comes to where I get my beef/pork/lamb/etc. there isn’t a second thought!P.s. their pastrami is one of the true hidden gems of Pittsburgh”

“We've been longtime fans of Morcilla and this was the best meal we've had. The food is outstanding. The smaller space makes it too noisy but it's worth the sacrifice for the very unique food.”

“Beef jerky experience, indeed! Beef jerky has never been my go-to snack so I’m not a pro when it comes to flavor, texture, etc. I’ve tried it a handful of times and every time I didn’t exactly enjoy the complete experience. Sometimes the flavor is not enough, but mostly in my experience, the beef is just too hard. Until I went to Beef Jerky Experience, I didn’t know beef jerky could practically melt in my mouth. I wouldn’t normally stop in a beef jerky store, but I thought maybe I could buy some and bring it back home for my family to try. They love it. I ended up trying a whole bunch of samples which happens every Sunday, lucky me. I had recommendations thrown my way, friendly people, and I didn’t hate anything. I’m just annoyed I didn’t buy more because my family wanted more as well after trying these. It’s a small store with a large variety of beef jerky, merchandise, and other items. As you may know, this place is on a very busy strip, so most days you will have to pay for parking unless you know something I don’t. Or if it’s the Lords day. I’m sure a lot of people have been through this joint but if you haven’t, try it because I didn’t know I’m a beef jerky person. Just had to find the right ones for me. You’re welcome jagoffs*!”

“I used to drive all the way to Harrisville for ham, beef sticks and other great quality meats and cheese. I still can't believe how lucky we are to have them have a location in Aspinwall. Best ham ever. Love the steaks, ground meat, Italian sausage and so much more. Great place.”

“Being the only kosher grocery in the area, MAK aims to please their customers. They recently expanded the store and added much more variety to accommodate the growing community. Their meat and dairy products are always fresh, as well as their bakery goods, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for they will do their best to order it. Pesach time is especially well stocked for those who follow different customs. Last and far from least, the kosher wine selection is expansive and reasonably priced. I have to say that the staff is always helpful and cheery. Glad that MAK is a part of the Pittsburgh community.”

“Truly a one-of -a-kind establishment. If one prefers quality meats and supporting locally-owned businesses, this is the place. It's also the place to go if you care to see what Pittsburgh and true Pittsburghers are all about. Characters of all walks of life pass in, and out, of this bustling place and unknowingly provide entertainment as you shop. Dedicated employees offer quick, helpful service and some light-hearted joking on the side with their regular customers.”

“I just want to know if their meat is of good/great quality. All you guys complain about is the little guy or talk about price. How is the freakin quality of meat? Real meat or Lab meat? Farm grown or Bill Gates grown? We are living in crazy times. So tell us .. real meat non injected or not?”

“Best value for money. Hands down. The service is almost fast food style and you grab your food and eat or takeaway. The seating area is very basic but comfortable. Had the shawarma and it was basically enough for two servings. Its huge. The taste was okay. Had the chicken samosas. They are not as spicy as Indian samosas but still very well seasoned. Definitely one of the best cheap eats in Pittsburgh.”

“Being slightly larger than my regular grocery store, there was more variety of products, which is the reason I visited. I am almost always very pleased with the staff at every giant eagle. This one is no exception.”

“This used to be the grocer to go to. My kids could get a free piece of fruit while we shopped. I love the coupon book, though I wish you could somehow redeem them for delivery. The delivery is a longer wait than most. They had the good vegan options but now pretty much everyone does and they are just the most expensive, even with the specific coupon book.”

“Purchased hot and mild Italian sausage links on recommendations from my cousin. Both were very good. The hot was spicy but not uncomfortable. The mild was perfect. Also purchased some Soppressata. The very best I have every had. This is a worthwhile stop whenever you are in the Strip district.”
