My car had a brake issue so it failed the inspections in two other places in town. They charged me A LOT for fixing, so I came to Traditional automobiles. “We use them for all our auto repair, service, and inspection needs. Why? Take yesterday as a prototypical example. We had a leak in the air stem to a tire caused by a prior shop. Tyler (the owner) fixed it up for me and didn't even charge. Said it was an easy fix. I was there, took him a good hour and a replacement part.”

“My first encounter w/Roan's was when I needed some welding done on my vehicle. The sub-frame was rusted out and wouldn't pass inspection. I took it to a place on N Atherton Street for an estimate and they gave me a price of $1500. I called a buddy of mine to see if he could recommend anybody else to do the job, and he said, "Yeah, take it to Roan's Body Shop." So I took my car to Roan's, they put it up on the rack and looked things over. The owner said, "I can fix it, $750!!" I didn't even tell him that I had another estimate of $1500, just took it in and he quoted me that price!! That was over 30 yrs ago, and I've been going to Roan's ever since!! You can look high, low, and in between, but I can guarantee that you won't find a better shop to repair your vehicle. Whether it's something mechanical that needs fixed, or if you should happen to have a run in with a deer, Roan's can do the repairs for you at more than a fair price.”

“I have purchased cars and had them serviced at Rahal Honda for years. Most recently there was a small issue with a new used car that I had purchased. Due to the nature of the repair, Rahal's GM Matt personally coordinated the repair. When I picked up my vehicle, my service advisor Casey had arranged to have my vehicle cleaned.I really can't say enough about these folks. They have done a very good job at hiring the right people. Everyone I deal with is professional, and kind.”

“So glad I found this garage to fix my son’s car that broke down while attending PSU.I was strictly going off of reviews and now adding another. My son’s car needed a new water pump and thermostat and they had everything replaced in 2 days. I checked with my local mechanic I trust and use and he gave me his price. “I am so happy I found Derek! I had just moved to State College from Cincinnati and to have car problems right after moving is not fun. Don't waste your time with any of the mainstream auto service places, he's worth 10 of those "certified mechanics." My Subaru was making this weird rattling noise that I couldn't pinpoint. Not wanting to spend an arm and leg at the dealer, I took my car to Midas and Tire town. What a waste of time, none of them could tell me what was wrong. I then found Derek and took it to him, and within 5 minutes of inspecting underneath the car, he found the source - a control arm bushing. He charges very reasonable prices for his fast, 5-star work too. I will definitely be taking my car to him for any future maintenance. Love his sweet doggie too!”
“Great mechanics - they have yet to fail in diagnosing the problem correctly and they charge very low prices compared to other places in town!! This place is the exception to the "get what you pay for" rule - I have taken my car to other places in town that charge more and have had poor quality work done and also had problems be misdiagnosed. This place is a gem.”
