“The clerk at the store was named Jack and I'm Jill so I made a Dad joke, we bonded and I told him my husband needed a new watch band. He asked the inevitable why, and I showed him what I thought was an irreparably damaged watch. He asked if I really wanted the new watch or if it could be fixed, would I prefer that. Sure, who wouldn't, I replied. He put a pin in to reconnect the band, told me there was no charge and I left happy I went out into a horrible rainstorm, and spent the watch money on takeout!”
