I've just gotten to the point where I'm going to be switching to another bank.
So apparently there was some fraudulent activity on my account and my debit card is now shut off.
I try to call the bank today and am told by the woman on the phone to call the 1-800 number on the back of my debit card, then press "option 3."
I have had issues in the past and was told to call this number previously, and it DOES NOT WORK!
Calling the 1-800 number is a joke.
All it does is have you verify your info, then it gives you your account(s) info. That's it. Nothing else. And if you try to bypass it by hitting a random number, you're met with "That's not an option. Thanks for calling. Goodbye." And it hangs up on you.
I called multiple times, and even waited to see if I missed something. Nope. No option 3. All it did was run through my list of options to tell me what balances I had in my accounts.
So after this debacle, I called the Fulton Manheim branch back, and got the same woman who told me to call the 1-800 number, and I told her that the number doesn't work.
All I received was a snooty response that she didn't understand what I was doing wrong and that I just needed to stop into the bank closest to me to see if they can help me.
What a turn off of an experience. I shouldn't have to get frusterated over an automated robot answering service that gives me no guidance and help when it comes to my finances, or an employee that doesn't seem to care that I can't pay any bills at the moment until my card unfreezes. I'll absolutely be going somewhere else that's way more personable.
Rant over.

Not organized, I had to call multiple times for updates. Gave them information and they lose it or say its invalid.

After visiting a local barber shop that I found not to take credit cards I took a short walk to the long standing Folton Bank. I paid my fee at their ATM for not having an account with them and than I asked them to make chance for a $20 I was DENIED service. I had to walk next door to a friendly healthfood store to get my change and the store was happy to assist me.
